honestly the humor makes the series even better, i could never see myself playing through earthbound without it, and it makes mother 3 so much more fantastic (and it's part of the reason why i can't stand mother 1, there's very widespread but stale/dry humor)

You can probably find it on eBay and play it on a DS or Gameboy Advance. That is, if you can read Japanese. If you don't know Japanese, you'll have to use emulators and ROMs and fan translations and other maneuvers of questionable legality. You can thank Nintendo for that.  |

It's not a theory, he said it in a bunch of interviews. But he was really little when he saw it and didn't know what was going on - it was actually not even a rape scene to begin with.

finally beat mother 3 and all i can say saddest ending ever of all time just i wanted to cry it made aerith who's death was greatly spoiled seem like crap

Yeah, it was just a murder scene from an old japanese suspense movie and didn't even have nudity in it, but like you stated, he was a kid so I don't blame him for getting scarred by something that didn't happen. |
