Dang, this game sucks. SSF2's better IMO.

That's because SSF2 has had significantly more time put into it, Runouw's working on another project at the moment, he even said on his forums the online version wasn't working yet, and there aren't enough character graphics finished for him to move on.

I'd expect another demo to be released that far surpasses the quality of this one in a couple months.

Or years, considering how long it's been since he's added character content.

He's not in control of how fast it takes the characters to be created. tSR does it on their own accord. It did take Runouw a considerable amount of time to come out with Super Mario 63, but that was because the scale of the game was huge, and it was an undertaking done by 1 person.

He knows what he's doing, I'm sure he'll improve on it when he has the materials to.

He's basically just the programmer for this, not the designer.

In any case, there's still the matter of content that will be put into the games. Even if runouw's game is greater in terms of gameplay, what about content? SSF2 is supported heavily by its community, contributing extra DLC characters. There are quite a bit of things that gives SSF2 superiority. For now, at least. Hopefully, it stays that way, SSF2 is just too awesome to pass up.
