So whenever I boot up the browser version of SSF2 the game doesn't load and a .swf file starts automatically downloading on my computer, followed by a warning on whether or not I wanna keep the file. Keeping or discarding it doesn't make a difference, and this paranormal experience occurs on Chrome, Firefox and IE. Haven't downloaded or changed anything to my computer (just started randomly occuring yesterday), and refreshing it just causes another .swf file to begin downloading.

Don't worry fam. I've encountered the same thing on mobile and I looked through the SWF using jpexs. It's harmless. It just contains some of SSF2 .9b's data. You are likely using Firefox or a browser that no longer wants to support flash. Many browsers are moving away from Flash support and the best thing to is to download the game.
Flash has been known to have security issues and the top browsers have planned to totally remove support of Flash at a later time. Firefox may still have hidden in their settings a way to enable Flash. Maybe.  _________________ Hey! You! Yes you! ...never mind. YouTube Video:

Thanks for reporting this. Please use your "Report an issue" button in your browser to report this problem (in Chrome it's CTRL+Shift+I). It is not specific to our own site.
A temporary workaround for Chrome users: 1. Click the 3 dots in the top-right corner. 2. Open settings 3. Search for "Flash" 4. Click "Content Settings" 5. Under the "Flash" header, click "Manage Exceptions" 6. Add "[*]mcleodgaming.com" to the list. 6. Reload the game page. |

^Welp, following your guide I found out that my little brother had tampered with the settings so that the computer didn't allow Flash to run on any website.
So thanks to your "temporary workaround" I managed to solve the issue permanently. Cheers everyone :] _________________
