Personally I'm quite confused about Pac-Man because he's already an assist trophy. Having both a character and an assist trophy of Pac-Man would be weird.

Don't forget he was once a highly requested character.

There's a list of characters which i speculate to be in SSF2 Beta:
Snake, Olimar, Villager and Dracula (because their stages are already in game);
Vegeta and/or Frieza;
Shadow and/or Knuckles;
Renji (not an assist trophy);
Sasuke;
Pac-Man (not an assist trophy and a stage with him);
Earthworm Jim (and a stage with him);
Spiderman or Mr Incredibile (because the game need a super hero );
Inuyasha (the 4th anime);
Zero or Proto Man(not an assist trophy);
Diddy Kong;
Mewtwo;
Waluigi;
Luigi;
Mickey Mouse.
And characters which probably not appear in game but are cool: Duck Hunt Dog, Weegee, Crash, Rayman, Geno, Showel Knight and Cactus McCoy

just replace the trophy with ms pacman. it already makes the ms pacman sound effect.

I feel like including Pac-Man in his Pac-Land appearance and Ms. Pac-Man in her original arcade appearance would seem a bit out of place.

Ike is already in the game kind of. Ichigo takes Ike's spot so there isn't really any point of having him since the both are slow and heavy characters. Robin I wouldn't mind, but all in all I want Roy because #ROYSOURBOY!

34. Dr. Mario - He was a very popular character in Melee, and many were brought to tears of joy (myself included) that he returned.
35. Duck Hunt/Duck Hunt Dog - I'm OK with either one. He would represent a Nintendo classic, which is a good thing.
36. Knuckles - I'm surprised we haven't gotten him already.
37. Diddy Kong - Yeah, you'd think we'd get him by now, but no.
38. Chef Mario & Baby Yoshi - Ok, this may sound strange at first, but if you really start to think about it, it all makes sense. The two would fight as a pair like Duck Hunt, and Chef Mario would attack with a variety of weapons from the Yoshi puzzle games, like Yoshi Cookies and Tetris Attack blocks.
39. Geno - Since he's a very requested character, we might get him.
40. Ganondorf - Maybe he could have his sword??
41. Mewtwo - More Pokemon.
42. Lucario - More Pokemon.
43. Bowser Jr. - He would either retain the Clown Car or have a completely new moveset that involves transforming into Shadow Mario (I prefer the former).
44. Simon - A character from a really popular third-party series.
45. PAC-MAN - Maybe replace the Assist Trophy PAC-MAN with MRS. PAC-MAN.
46. Little Mac - Punch-Out!! is one of the most memorable games of Nintendo. Besides, he could easily be improved.
47. Banjo-Kazooie - Again, another character from a popular franchise.
48. R.O.B. - A very important part of Nintendo's history.
49. Mickey Mouse - Possibly the one from Kingdom Hearts?
50. Snake - We have the Shadow Moses Island stage.
51. Olimar - We have the Distant Planet stage.

I found that so much funnier than I should have, heheh. But anyway, Ichigo totally fights for his friends. Lol that's pretty much about all he fights for in majority of the anime. But still, not on the same level as Ike. Ichigo fights for his friends, but Ike fights for his friends.

I speculate Tabuu. What an interesting character he would be huh?
