Fun fact: Namco approached Capcom with the idea. Sega was drafted in later on. I think it's safe to say that Namco approached Capcom with the idea to make NamcoxCapcom 2. Personally though, I have to say that I'd prefer a clean start (i.e. all characters have never met prior to this game, bar maybe a few due to other stuff like SFxT) above a sequal. So that this game feels more 'independant'. A sequal to NxC might also lead to it being Japan-only, like NxC itself was. No, they're too different. This is an SRPG and that was a Fighting Game, plus the characters used are different. |

I assume that the reason Sonic isnt in this is because all the characters are humanoid. Still, I hope Sonic, Klonoa, Amaterasu, and other anthros can make an appearance.

Opa-Opa is in, he is not a humanoid. But Klonoa was in NamcoxCapcom, and he looked really well in that game. We don't know if Opa-Opa is actually playable though (I really hope he is). To be honest though, I really don't care if Sonic appears, as long as other SEGA characters like Beat and NiGHTS appear.
