I had a couple characters 100% animated before anyone on the forum knew how to work the program; plus small sprite edits here and there, But I haven't done much since then.

Let's see now, I was there way back in the early days of the dev section. (With all those accursed 12/13 year olds..ugh those days were quite dreadful) So anyways back in those days when Cleod first made the dev section you had to PM Cleod stating what you did and why you should be a dev. It was SO easy to get into the dev section back then which led to so many useless devs...especially trophy devs. Anyways yeah, since the dojo pages were being made in the dev section and I had started serving as a successful editor for grammatical errors etc, so it was necessary for me to be in the dev section.

Of course, I don't do that these days, we have slacker dojo devs for that.

...but anyone in Spam could do that successfully

"It was SO easy to get into the dev section back then"

It makes me laugh to this day~

Blinsey asked if I could be a DEV and then Cleod Dev'd me.

Yeah, not exactly the Hollywood story you hoped for, I ain't no self-made man, but that's how I got in: Friend politics.

Do balancers count as devs for this question?

Stories of how you got into the balancer section wouldn't be very exciting. Here, I'll do it for everyone:

"I got in the SFBR, then TSON made me a balancer. Fin."

Well, as I said before, these seem to be all the same stories, apart from Damian's. He's lucky. :P

A week late idgaf.
I was dev'd for suggesting the dev section, and then PMing Cleod to get in and promising to sprite an item.
never made it, btw.

Back then it was easy as butter to get in, but staying in was hard. I started to get into Brawl hacking which made me understand their physics a lot better. I did s*** of bug testing - I'm talking 100s of bugs a week. Then, I sprited a chunk of Kirby.
I really started to shine when we were able to code characters though. I'm arguably the best character coder in the Dev's section.
So uh, yeah. I GOT IN FOR BEING A TYPICAL POLITICIAN.

Man, I wish I was here before.
But another question, do you guys like/love/hate being devs?

It's personal preference on whether you like the devs
I personally don't mind them, as long as they don't go around shoving their status in your face

Good job CCS

FMPOV as a balancer, the novelty has worn off. School means that all of your past hobbies get thrown out of the window :(

I don't think about the fact that I'm a dev particularly often, it just seems normal because that's one of the main reasons I come to MG. I would definitely miss it if I weren't one though.

One more question, how does it feel to help develop a game that will never come out? Or is the release date still before brawl?

BREAKING: If a game is delayed, it will never come out.

I'm sorry, this game will be just like Duke Nukem, then.

Delayed for years and then s***.
