So, I am a Pit player, and I am looking to get better at competitve play. However, I'm not good enough yet to analyze my gameplay and pick out less obvious flaws or how to improve on them. If anyone here is knowledgeble enough in competitive Smash Bros that they can analyze others matches and pick out problems as well as solutions, please reply. I uploaded 2 videos, one of my wins and one of my several losses. The quality is pretty bad, but I think it is manageable to be able to see whats going on. One thing that I do know is that I misinput much more often than I should, whick should be clear to see, however, I think my improvement needs to go past just less misinputs. Thanks to everyone in advance. Loss https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K6fXqbKeZd4Win https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RcpLY8ctRkk

A few things I recommend doing to get better: 1. Training mode to experiment some stuff (or just set up a normal match while controlling 2 players if you need to). This might help you learn to stuff about your character. 2. Practice against online players. Believe it or not, you'll most likely learn a lot about your character than way and it'll help you learn your character's MUs.

Know your matchups and have a rough game plan for each one. Even if it's "Fast characters play like this, floaties like this, campers like this, etc." That way, you have central goals to stick to when you feel lost in a match.
In the loss, that Fox pretty much did not care about neutral, so you using dash attack, floating at full hop height, and using arrows are all bad ideas unless a very specific opportunity arises. You need to be on the ground, forcing him to respect your space and pushing him offstage. He can't approach that well, unless you're busy throwing out slow moves and moving predictably, so focus on your ability to dash dance, bait, and being the one who sets the match's pace.

Thanks a bunch man. What I am getting from your comment is that: Where I am being rushed down and pressured, I must stay grounded, focus on movement to bait and control stage and space

Save your replays. Rather you win or lose. But definitely if you lose. You need to see WHY you lost and WHY you won.

That's the probelm, I am not able yet to see flaws in gameplay past the most basic things. Where I posted this, I have gotten several answers that I had no idea of, like predictable landings, floating around at full hop hight, and cementing my punishes. If you have any suggestions on how I could analyze my play better, please tell me
