I think VI is one of the only ones I haven't played before. Pity.

Jeez, it's like I'm talking to the newer generation like an old, outdated fart. Final Fantasy games were about the full package. A well-executed plot, solid gameplay, and interesting characters. FFXIII had none of the above, and at most, XIII-2 has one of those.

Oh yeah, changing the subject, did some digging, X's release to PS3 is confirmed to be a rerelease, NOT a remake as we thought, Geno.

Hey, don't get me wrong, I still prefer the turn-based style that Final Fantasy used to hold proudly, but I'd rather take my chances on their newer things, and submerge myself in their creative environments and stories, than refusing to give them a chance, haha.

Yeah, I heard. It's still going to be a revamp though, just not on as large of a scale. The graphical engine will still be Crystal Tools, but the base of the game will be the same. At least, that's what I heard.
It's not about turn-based, to be honest. The ATB system was insanely good, too, and I've always supported the series when it tried new things, even if they failed horribly. (cough, cough, Junction system) The problem is, here they failed horribly, and the response is to "welp, let's make a sequel". I just never understood what the heck their thought process is with sequels...

And yeah, that's what I've been hearing, updated graphics and such. Maybe they'll redo the voices, given how easy it seemed to be for them to get 3 of the main cast back for Dissidia after all these years?

Do you really think the system is that bad? How far did you get into the game? It starts out incredibly slow in XIII, I'll give you that (not so much in XIII-2) but once you've developed your roles a bit, and the difficulty starts escalating it's pure strategy, with a lot of things happening at once. To each their own, though.

I'm hoping they re-voice. in X, you were able to choose Tidus' name at the beginning of the game, so naturally they never said his name in game. I always found that strange.

I know right? It's not like they've been doing that since the first Final Fantasy...

FFX was the only game with real-time voice acting to have the option to choose a main-character's name.

So I guess they thought afterwards, "Hey, people like games more if they get to hear the main character's name being called. Let's do that instead from now on!"

Which also led to the confusion as to how to pronounce Tidus' name lol. But then again with other games without VA there were characters like this too such as Zidane, Quistis, and Tifa.

Anyways, i would only look into this new X if they include the International Version stuff. I'd like to be able to fight the extra bosses in the game, although i couldnt beat some of the Monster Arena bosses :P

I hate blitzball!

Penance was a b**** and a half. And blitzball was awesome, but I'm a sucker for minigames. It needed to have Overworld in the background, though, or it can't match the awesomeness of the cutscene.

At least, their names were said in Dissidia. "About time!" I thought.

I was thinking the same thing :P

The only thing I'm not looking forward to (emphasis on NOT), is re-fightingYunalesca.

So many scars...

Yunalesca is made extremely easy if you keep someone in zombie status at all times. Mega Death cannot kill those under zombie.

Unless you're like underleved or something.

First time playing though, yeah she kicked me left and right.

Even if you keep someone as zombie, it's still an incredibly long fight, and one wrong move or misstep can mean losing the whole match.

Okay yeah, I'll give it that..

Really nice though, if you have Auron (for high HP/attacking), Yuna (for healing), and Tidus/Rikku (For everything else/turn speed).

Personally i feel that Kimahri is near useless in this game, as he has no real strengths, and his only stand out ability is his Overdrive, which isnt that special either. I mostly use him as a secondary (although crappy) white mage.
