What Mega Man has: -78 robot master weapons to choose from his classic games and more on top of that -A companion dog named Rush -Has been Capcom's iconic mascot till they start joking around with him in MVC3 -Has been in both MVC and MVC2 What Zero has: -Saber, Buster, and a few gadgets -Long yellow hair to try to compliment his awesomeness -Has only been in 2 series: The Mega Man X series and the Mega Man Zero series -Gets to be in MVC3 And if anything, Mega Man fits more of the Smash Bros atmosphere. He has been more cartoonish and game friendly than Zero has who thinks hes such a badass that he deserves to be in any spot Mega Man should've been in now. No.. We need MEGA MAN for this one.

I think Zero would be more fitting due to the fact he is more melee-oriented and still has range moves, which could work quite nicely. I have no doubt that Mega Man has some too, but I'd assume Zero would be more fitting for such a thing.

Thats not the point he's getting at. Aesthetically Mega Man would look better in Smash Bros., for once, and for two he has a much wider range of moves to choose from. Not only that, but Smash really wouldn't hurt from having a long-mid range specialist.

Eh, it all depends on how far they go with projectiles. I wouldn't want -all- of his moves to be projectile-only like SSF1. I'd really rather some melee moves, sort of like how Link may have 3 projectiles, but he's not completely projectile-oriented.

Well no matter how you look at it Mega Man will be the most projectile-orientated character in Smash. However SSF2 proves that he still has a large array of melee attacks to chose from.

Mega Man would be included over Zero, as he's the namesake of the series and is more universally recognised. Samurai isn't retarded like Capcom.

Wait. Wait. Samurai. Sakurai.
Click to expand thumbnailGUYS I THINK I'M ONTO SOMETHING.Although, now that you made that typo, I just thought; What if Soul Calibur characters made it to SSB? It doesn't seem impossible, especially with Link's cameo in SC2.

MITSURUGI CONFIRMED AS PLAYABLE/AT! KURO YOUR A GENIUS!
In all seriousness though I think having Nightmare or Sigfried (or some other character that's played at least a semi-important role across the series) would be cool as an assist trophy, but I wanna save the Namco playable slot for Lloyd.

I'll settle for Sonic, Pacman and Mega Man really. (I really like Snake but I doubt he'll be back).

Are you really sure about that? When Hideo Kojima asked for Snake to be in Super Smash Brothers in the first place, I don't really think Sakurai would stab him in the back like that. He wouldn't ruin a friendship over a game. Besides, I don't think he has to pay to put Snake in anyway.
