Honestly, ANYONE, I mean *ANYONE* can type in yahoo.com and go get news. Anyone can flick on their TV and get news. The news crew is pointless.
I say we keep Current Events, sure, but the News Crew is rather pointless. Anyone can copy and paste a link somewhere, what makes the news crew so specialized and advanced for the job? In a form, it's another pointless and useless form of elitism stemming from this place. |

Being on the news crew isn't "elite", for the very reason you want to remove it; because ANYONE can do it.
Self-contradictions. Getting rid of it is pointless, because then the noobs would have another place to spam up with poorly typed and constructed posts and walls of text not abiding by the rules of the section. Basically, News Crew should stay because the people proved themselves. |

By doing what? Asking if they could be in? Not much of a test of provability thar. You know, this is a forum about a SSBB ripoff; why would we even need news at all? |

No, they prove that "dey dunt type like dis with no capitals or periods or big words or using too many smileys and runon sentences are cool and go off topic but then go back but not remember what theyre talking about then they end there post in the middle of a sentence with gramm'er' issues and they dont use big word  "And it's supposed to be gaming news... |

I agree; why keep the news crew? Anyone can get interesting news from any site. Why let 1 group decide what does and doesn't get posted?
That's why it was so dead in the old forum, because 1 group posted news, and then lost interest. If we were to post our own news, the section would at least be more active. |

http://www.g4tv.com/ They have everything you ever want to know about games, they even have cheat codes on thier site. They also talk about tech for anyone who cares. I think "Mr. Eh?" is right...It pointless. If spammers want to stay busy then they can play runescape for 2+ years. |
