Was talking with some buddies on Discord about SSF2 today and realized that I haven't been here in a VERY long time. All the fond memories back in the day of roaming the halls pretty much all day every day back on the old forums, and trying to stay up to be one of the first (re)registered members when the new site was up and ready to go. REALLY takes me back.

MOST of the people that I remember are gone now, but how is everyone lately?

yeah, I was mostly active BEFORE the refresh. iirc there USED to be a spam sub category that I spent most of my time in that didn't actually add to post count

Spam is The Lounge now, idk if it still raises post count or not

This place is a graveyard though, only a few ogs popping in occasionally

Nah, it's not that MG's dead really, it's that forums like this are outdated. They're a relic of a younger Internet. Nowadays you can accomplish with one Reddit or Discord account what you used to have split up over a dozen forums. Places like that and Twitter fill that niche now. Sooner or later, MG will fade away as even the OGs quit stopping by, moving beyond it but never quite losing touch, cherishing the memories as a few fleeting moments of significance among billions of years of indifferent floating through space
