So it looks like a couple of people are confused about my comment. Here, let me explain for the kiddies.
This is Peach's costume choices in Melee.

Notice that second costume. Notice how it not only changes her dress color, but also tans her skin, and changes the pattern of her entire dress. Different brooch, different stitching, even different gloves.

Notice how everything I just listed is gone.

You get the idea. The color scheme is still there, so the chances that Daisy is a playable character this time are slim. There's no reason, then, for Peach to not have the full costume from Melee, especially since one person alone was supposedly able to bang out Zamus' two-piece outfit.

Eh, that might be an argument, but I honestly don't know if Alph is actually different personality wise to warrant actually changes to his moveset, the way the others I listed are. (Read: Haven't played Pikmin 3.) It's an anomaly I'll admit, and I won't just try to wave it a way, but what I said is a paraphrase of what was said about Lucina getting her own spot, so the argument still holds merit.

TBH Koopalings are an exception because that is their gimmick, the character is [KOOPALING]. It doesn't actually represent a single one well enough to actually be considered one of them, with the other seven as alts. Even if it Jr is the face commonly associated with the slot.

The color scheme and bandana is the design Ninten had for the Mother commercial in Japan, which I assume some people like more because it looks more different from Ness?

It also annoys me too, that the Daisy skin isn't more unique like it was in melee.

The moveset is closer to Bowser Jr than the others, but only slightly, and only if you consider the Final Smash.
