Could Saturn Valley be a competitive stage?

One of the stages from the previous versions of SSF2 got a slight renovation!
Both portions of the stage are now equal, and there's two platforms. There are no longer walls or any location to camp.
Despite the changes, there are two slopes on stages and the stage itself is slightly larger compared to Battlefield.

If you ask me, I think Saturn Valley is fine for a neutral stage (with singles in mind).
Please share your opinions on what you think.

Currently Playing: Complacency breeds weakness. My opponents won't stop getting stronger, neither will I.
In my opinion, it certainly has a chance for legality. It's a pretty wide stage though with a dip in the middle, so it might be more suited to counterpick.

It'll be banned for a dumb reason i'm sure or it'll be a counterpick because it has a 10 degree slope for 5 pixels

Possibly my favorite of the new stages; definitely counter-pick however, with the chance to be left off as a competitive stage. Here's some things I've learned with some quick testing:

- Some dash-attacks stop short at the edge of one (or both) slopes, or don't go down it. (Sonic, Sheik, Ichigo, Marth, Bomberman, Falco, Donkey Kong, Mega Man, C. Falcon, and that's just who I tested so there could be more). Player knowledge/awareness could avoid this.

- You cannot roll down the left slope of the stage. Again, player knowledge.

- Mario and Luigi can do projectile-cancels to keep their fireballs bouncing back and front, hide within their fireballs to prevent counter-attack and controlling center-stage.

- Ness can activate PK Fire pillars by hitting the bottom of the slopes where the pond begins.

- Mega Man's Down-special can't go down the left slope.

So I don't know what other inconsistencies that would be basic on anyother stage that gets effected here, but it's not looking so good for legitimacy.

There's no reason it shouldn't be legal when few are arguing against the less-neutral Castle Siege and Jungle Hijinx.

what Harr said

The only issue I personally have with the stage is the sheer size of it and the blastzones. That may be just me, but I find it absurdly difficult to score the final hit on there. And I guess the slopes kinda suck for tether grabs sans Chibi, but that didnt stop Castle Siege and Jungle Hijinx either

It is a little on the big side at 22 yards - which makes it a bit bigger than Drac's and Dream Land - but not too much. I do kind of see why that would throw some people off a bit though.
I'm still for allowing it, but I will say that the size is a better argument than the little dip in the middle.

EDIT: With the side platforms taken into account, Tower of Salvation is 24 yards. Make of that what you will.

The slopes on those stages aren't bad though. They just created different levels of topography in the stage's base. That doesn't make them "less-neutral."

It's not about having or not having slopes. I just wanted to point out Saturn Valley's slopes effect how moves and other mechanic function. What happens on its slopes do not happen on Castle Siege/Jungle Hijinx slopes (barring Ness' fire pillars on slopes). And if we're going to make this a legal stage, we have to deliberate if its 'inconveniences" are suitable uses for strategy.

Samus can move faster down the slop so it has my VOTE. :)
