First thing first, we have to get things organized. As this is a collaborative RP, everyone is entitled to suggestions. The front-most things we need to cover right now are:

* The setting of the RP - Done
* The character (or characters) that will be led in the RP - Pending
* A name for the RP itself - Pending
* A post range (I was thinking one to four paragraphs a post, feel free to suggest) - Pending

The world has been devastated by a mass volcanic eruption. Smoke blackens the sky, making it impossible to tell whether its night or day, and to navigate by the sun or stars, yet the magma veins still coursing with molten rock give off the heat and light needed by man. We live in, mostly underground, dome cities where we raise life stalk, grow plants, mine, and other tasks no longer possible on the outside. And of course we trade, us three cities, the only ones known the survive the disaster. But how much longer must this go on? For as long as there was black skies there have been stories that it is all because of a military test, but no one believes them enough to do anything. But what if there true? It won't get better all at once or maybe in our lifetime, but if the cause is the rumored "Magma Machine" we could help to save humanity...

The setting? A desert world. Just like the one Thai created. Warring nations, high-tech/magical weaponry and "spells", steampunk, come on! Eh? Sounds like a plan, to me.

Meh, sounds like everyone's gonna die in these RPs.

It DID get me at steampunk.

Hehehee... you can't beat the sheer badassness of steampunk. Really, I should design a weapon just for the occasion! It'll be a sword that runs off of steam!!!!! It'll actually only stay sharp if it has steeeaaam in it!!! Overly difficult and improbable yes, but I believe it can be possible if we all put our minds and money in my pocket.

Steampunk is a little FF-ish, but that's what makes it so awesome, so yeah...I'd go for that

Well, it looks like we have our setting. Splendid! Now, we need a couple characters... suggestions, people. Chop chop. I can't do everything around here. It's called collaborative for a reason.

-A lone scientist in a large tower, endlessly researching various inventions and blasting away any pesky bandits with a cannon/lots of automated robots.

-Crazy guy with two puppets, feared by many raiders facing "Mr. Fisty".
