This might be the first character from an official Smash game that I'll use.

Also Fishbowl. I love the devs for bringing this guy in <3

Definitely going to be my main when the SSF2 Beta comes out, since I've mained him in every Smash game so far. I like the fact that he's received a bit of a buff from previous iterations, and the moveset is perfect. Looking forward to seeing good things from the good sir, and from the yesterday he fares pretty well against faster characters (which he's struggled with in Smash games).

G&W looks to be a very strong character. Decent speed, powerful disjoints, good combos and massive vertical movement are all great attributes.

He'll probably still suffer from his main problems in the official games (low weight and fall speed making him easy to kill, linear recovery, poor defensive options, etc).

He'll definitely be better than he was in Melee/PM, since his movement is pretty good; but the Brawl N-air takes away a useful kill option (it became a great combo starter instead).

isn't he high/top tier in PM now?

I stayed up real late for that character announcement for someone cool like Shadow or Icies...

Instead I got Game and Crotch....

Please make him real spicy pl0x. Like dat PM flavourino.

Also, no hate on the effort the devs made, I just really wanted anything BUT G&W.

A lot of people wanted a more popular fan-favorite than G&W.

Personally I'm really interested in G&W. Can't wait to bring him in the lab.

This game needs another glass cannon so I'm happy about G&W. Falco, Luigi, and Snake are the only other canon characters I want.

LOL at people getting upset about g&w making it in before their husbandos. But then theres fishbowl lol

Is he? I haven't checked tiers for 3.5 yet, but I remember him being mid in 3.02.

Game and Watch seems like a very nice glass cannon. He runs pretty fast from what I can tell, which is good compared to the official games, and his smashes and f-air still look strong. U-tilt, d-tilt and u-air look like good combo starters and he'll probably get good setups from his throws as well. He's looking good.

As a G&W main in brawl and SSB4, I'm glad to see him in SSF2. I was actually getting quite worried that he wouldn't make the cut.

He looks strong in this game, too. He has the power of his Brawl aerials and smash attacks as well as a powerful jab. Also, landing 9's is still hype as always. The only gripes I personally have are his grabs (they're kind of buggy, but I assume they'll be fixed with time) and that he doesn't have melee's n-air. The fishbowl is fine and all, but a good finisher would be great to have. Also, since his up-b doesn't have a parachute, it would aesthetically make sense for it to be added.

Anyway, I don't see why some people were salty when he was revealed. Smash feels so empty without him.

smash flash wouldnt be the same without G&W....idk why so many people kept asking for luigi since hes more than likely going to be a unlockable or characters that we know arent going to be in it.

although i didnt see his side special being used, i hope oil panic is in his moveset
