My old American schedule was
1 term was 45 days. 2 terms = 1 semester School starts in August 1 week break in september 1 week break in October like a 3 week break in Dec 3 week break in February 1 week break in April Later May through August break |

It may just be a coincidence, but for the last few years at least, the 11 week term always seems to be second. 9 seems to be either the third or the fourth, but never the first.

Americans start at the end of September? My friends in California and in Arkansas start at the beginning of September, and In Texas school starts around mid to late August.

It sucks more than school because, if I sleep too much, instead of being punished by staying at home or some s*** (which is actually good) and only having to study more, I'd be fired or something (which isn't actually good...). Now I think I have changed my mind about going to college >.> Here it may vary a bit depending on region, but there's usually a break on june near St. John (Winter) and one on late october, november, december or sometimes even January (Summer) and we usually go back for a week before carnival (which most people in my city skips) and go back for realz after carnival.
