Eh, what we have is too many EARTHBOUND stages, I truly hope we get something from Earthbound Beginnings or Mother 3.

I speculate that a few stages that were removed in earlier demos (Mushroom Kingdom II, Yoshi's Island (SSB64), and Temple of Time) will make a return, but with a fresh coat of paint.

I'm mainly banking on MKII returning because Luigi is confirmed and that was his home stage in Melee.

Yes please. I loved those stages.
Although Temple of Time could use a hazard or something or a small change in layout, as it was removed for its similarities to Chaos Shrine (which I can totally see).

I was thinking Sunset Hill Zone could replace Green Hill Zone and before you ask, no, it isn't a recolor. It's stage format is more like this:

There is still a very small propability of removing the Sonic stage. Personally I prefer Emerald Hill Zone, but Green Hill is so much more iconic to the point that its basically a must-have. Talking about Sonic Stages, Id love to see Final Fortress or Egg Fleet to be added at some point. And since there could be more "spooky" stages, Im just gonna speculate Mystic Mansion/Hang Castle as well.

Intro levels of every game are usually the most recognizable and generally the most iconic because they stick out in your mind. They are the first thing you see in a game, after all. Hence why Chaos Shrine (first boss place you fight a boss in FF1), Central Highway (intro level to Mega Man X) and Jungle Hijinx (first level in Donkey Kong Country) are stages. What do these three have in common (insert Tribond joke)? Oh right, they are all technically intro stages for those games.

I mean, don't get me wrong, I wouldn't mind another Sonic stage (Emerald Hill/Ice Cap Zone imo), but I don't think they would get rid of Green Hill any time soon.

True but Ice Cap is the my memorable stage because of the awesome music and the main concept of it.

Well, Green Hill Zone IS under the Past Stages tab, so I wouldn't expect too much action out of it in the first place.
However I'd also like another Sonic stage that's more exciting, the current ones are fun and all but it would be nice to have something that's more interactive.

Maybe for Casino Night they could make the slot machine in the background a gimmick that spins and rewards or punishes you purely based on luck when you activate a switch or something. That would be awesome and make the stage more unique.

As for new stages, I would say Carnival Night because it's full of gimmicks and is a pretty well known stage (*cough* Barrel of Doom *cough*) but it's kinda too similar to Casino Night, so maybe an iconic but gimmick-packed stage from one of the Sonic Adventure games? Or Sonic Heroes? Or Sonic 06...

I just realized that we dont have a legal stage that is really "big" or "small" in terms of blastzones, veiling and stage size... Stages like Dracs are huge, the ceiling is very high, but the blastzones are insanely near. Same story with DL. WW on the other hand is small af, but has the hhighest ceiling in the game. ToS has lowest ceiling, small blastzones, but is big itself. See what I mean? I hope we get some changes that turn some stages (for example, those two) into the total extreme instead always having something that makes them more... "normal".


Speaking from a more casual POV... My speculations are (no past stages): Another Sonic stage (Mystic Mansion? Egg Fleet?), another Mario stage (Id guess 3D World), Phendrana Drifts (or something from Metroid that is icy/not lava), another FZero track, Gear Gateway, a trip through some Pokemon region (maybe Unova with the MS Unova Royale) and an original Kirby stage. Past stages would be FoD, Delfino, and Brinstar. Also speculating a completely original stage that kinda is like a time travel through the histtory of the fighters. Lets say you are Mario vs DK. Youd start by seeing some 8Bit sprites and music, then go to 16Bit and so on.

Yeah, that would be the best Smash stage period. I actually meant to put your "extended" part into my description, but forgot for some reason.

While Sonic Heroes is and will always be my favorite game, no. Seaside Hill is somewhat of a "normal/boring" stage imo. Id prefer something more unique like Mystic Mansion/Hang Castle or Final Fortress. MM/HC because there arent enough enough "spooky" stages imo and FF is just epic.
