Jax is in? Cool.
And I always thought Johnny was usually considered the main hero (if you really wanted to consider anyone a "Main character") and Scorpion was always a villain (In the games I played anywas) And Subzero was also a hero (He's gonna die *Crys*). But this trailer seems to turn all that around. Scorpion is a hero (Apparently), Subzero is a villain (Usually the enemy of the hero is considered a villain) and Johnny, well, he died in the trailer after a fairly boring fight.

The guy who directed this would still be the same person that directed the movie. It's just that they own Mortal Kombat series, and this was an outreach. If this was accepted, Warner could fund it. Also if want to talk about their movies..

Wow, outright bashing. How juvenile.

This was a pitch of a bloody and gritty but non-supernatural version of Mortal Kombat. In terms of keeping it bloody and gory, but no supernatural abilities, the premise of it is pretty damn good.

But supernatural abilities (And lots of other crap) is what made MK awesome

Tis very true my friend, but maybe a non-supernatural approach is what the Mortal Kombat films were begging for. After that box office flop known as Mortal Kombat: Annihilation, I'm not surprised they decided to take this road. The very feel of the trailer still proves to be dark and brooding, not being very different from Mortal Kombat itself. For all we know, it could be a very promising film. The trailer sure leads me to believe it's gonna be, but the trailer can only take one so far...
