How about like & dislike buttons? For People who post sprite n stuff... It's a pain when you have people who look at your topic but just don't want to post anything :/ If you had a like or dislike button to press you could just click it if you didn't have time to write a message saying how good it is or how bad it is. Who else agrees?

Still, it's a stupid idea. People could just be liking random stuff that they don't even like. Saying it in person makes the poster feel better.

Giving users yet another facet-however basic it may be-- to express their opinion about something is a horrible idea. If they are unable to convey their thoughts properly with words, they should not be posting in the first place- why give them a substitute simply because they cannot handle the former correctly?
At any rate, how hard is it to report an irrelevant post or even just ignore it? Not very, I gather.

Then the person doesn't really like the poster's creation/post. Liking a post isn't just pressing a button; it's showing that you REALLY like it, not just pressing some like button for any other reason (it may even become spam).

It doesn't hurt anybody?

It is bad-in my opinion, mind you-- because it is an easier, lazier alternative to putting together a coherent sentence to properly convey your thoughts on the subject. There is enough encouragement for rampant stupidity already, and I fear the moment expressing ourselves becomes easier, things will only worsen. We would be expending manpower simply to make things a tiny bit more convenient for the lazy where they should not be allowed to be.
Even if the community was receptive to this idea, we would need a phpBB hack for it- I have no doubt one exists, though.

Doesn't really bother you, huh? What about Rebecca Black? She was brought to tears by mean haters on Youtube. Seriously, step in another's shoes. If you added a dislike button, and many people disliked a post, how would that poster feel? Whimzer, Nook, Sulliboy, they're used to that. But what about people who worked hard on a picture in a post... and everyone hated it. The comments are bad enough, but added with the dislike count, we lose a good person in MG.

Then Obviously they need to improve on something... look how many Negative comments I have gotten in my Section. The difference between me and the other spriters (Not Devs) on this forum is that I Don't give up I just keep going and incorporating the bad negative or positive things they say into whatever I'm working on... The Like and Dislike would be for people like Mr. Triforce who say things like "I don't like it..." lol no ofence bro . Seriously how could this hurt... And as for Rebecca Black that's her problem for making a song goin " Friday Friday Gotta get down on Friday " Just sayin... There's no way she thought that was good :/

No. Just, no. This is going to make me sound like an old man, but if the way of the future is simply pressing a button to show your (dis)like of something, then allow me to jump into the way and oppose it with all my might.
It's just... Ugh. I know that this is the internet, and we're not really socializing at all to begin with, but really? People can't be arsed to simply type out why they like/dislike something? Or other people can't be bothered to see if people mostly (dis)liked something? We have to boil it down to simple numbers that people can read without straining their mind? Does the average person not understand words anymore or something?
Keep that s*** on sites that claim to be "social", would you please?
