I'm good, baby. Sounds like a drag. People do tend to use tier lists for that reason though. And by "people" I mean a lot of bad players who don't feel that ranting's gonna be able to properly release all that pent-up steam against ZSS they have built up.

Sounds like a vicious cycle. People should really put a stop to that before it gets out of hand.

Not really
At least if you were arguing with someone here there would be a reply
Going "wow I saw this dumb person say something dumb, how dumb is that?" to completely unrelated people is stupid and makes you look like a five year old, honestly

Aw, darn! I was trying to sound at least 15... I'll try harder next time, baby. Just for you.
On another note I went to a local in my city and this dude wrecked everyone's s*** with Mewtwo. People there knew what they were doing, but this guys was on another level. Or so he made it seem.
Tier lists aside, what's the consensus on Mewtwo now? In words, I mean. We were laughing when he first picked him, but my opinionhas been changed. I don't really think he's absolute garbage anymore, although a weight buff could still help.
...unless I missed something in the newest patch. He wasn't buffed, was he?

Mewtwo is still considered to be terrible outside Japan. Japan thinks he's mid tier. I think he's lower-mid tier

I think I'm the only person who wanted Cloud for years
But here's the thing: after what we saw with Ryu, It's kind of bad how Cloud turned out to be. Knowing Square I would've imagined them putting a lot of efforts into making him stand out more like pewpewman and ryu. Where I'm getting at is: What are we supposed to expect from any newcomer from now? Are they going to use moves from other characters from now on? Or I'm escalating things way too deep™

He's always been on my list of unrealistic wants. Since Brawl I had wanted him in but I knew it would never happen.
I seriously don't see why people are instantly claiming him to be a clone though, oh no he slashes his sword once or twice similarly to the other 12 sword users. How DARE he.

Cloud brings multiple of his Final Fantasy VII limit breaks and an actual Limit Break mechanic with him. Not to mention that his movement is largely inspired by Dissidia to make him stand out more from the other swordsmen. I think they put a lot of effort into him and I like what I've seen thus far. Of course you're allowed to be dissappointed should you so desire, but I think it's a but unwarranted to say no effort was put into Cloud. (also as stated 1000 times before when you add as much sword characters as Smash has, eventually you're going to see some slashes/similair slashes occur among different characters. That being said, the 'oh-so-dissappointing' Ike F-air actually appears to be based on his Braver Limit Break. You might just as well say that they put no effort into Ryu because his combo includes punches and kicks and his up special is a jumping punch if you catch my drift)

What's the bias against swordsmen in Smash rooted in again? They don't really dominate the fighting "method" in the game to begin with. Yeah a lot of them are anime-ish, but this is a Japanese game made by Japanese people we're talking about.
Or is this just another "opinions are opinions" thing i dunno
Dunno if I said it before, but I really like how much of Dissidia Cloud was able to break through into this game.

Oh I understand now, don't get me wrong though I'm not that dissapointed actually I'm a huge fan of FFVII. Maybe I was expecting Advent Children's Buster sword more but the costume got added so I can't be really sad lol. It's just a point of view I got after seeing how Ryu was made and put that expectation onto future characters. I realised his limits break and I like that very mucho, I guess I watched too many times Advent Children and by doing that, thought Cloud would be more agile and athletic (IDK if you get what I'm saying). Still he's in the game, I wanted him, god bless Masahiro Sephiroth.

lots of swordfighters is lame becuase one of the best things about smashbros' character design has always been (even definitely including brawl, which you all know i wasnt a huge fan of overall) is the diversity in not just the way their attacks look, but the way the character feels and appears visually on the stage. with very VERY few exceptions, even the 'human' characters tended to be very stylised and unique. like mario obviously has super cartoony proportions and comic book action sequence styles of big punches, kicks and throws (which is obviously really fitting with how mario as a character is anyway, since mario 64 introduced a lot of those motions). the exceptions were like, the fire emblem characters, but it works out okay since they were pretty much the only exceptions so in a way that gave them their own unique style as well which was very fitting with fire emblem's tone compared to other nintendo games. this applies across the board. you can just barely glance at a smash character and you instantly know which one it is. smash 4 kind of drops the ball x1000 on this with the anime sword dudes. it's not just that they use swords, it's that they're all these humanoid, semi-realistically proportioned/styled, similar-height dudes that all carry swords around. it does a huge number on the diversity of the cast and it makes playing as any of them feel way less cool/personalised than it would have if they were the only ones in the game, ESPECIALLY if you're a casual player who isn't going to take a huge amount of notice to the finer details or commit much memory to what all their moves are etc. (this game design principle btw is also the reason it's incredibly lame that anyone other than FE characters got a counter move)
