Sakura appears in Karin's story mode and is a super popular character as well, so I think she has super good chances to be a part of the season 2 DLC characters. I would really like to see her branch off from the shotoclone style, maybe even more than what Ken is already doing.

As long as she strays from the schoolgirl outfit, I'll be happy.

Well, it just feels wrong for her to still have it when she'd have obviously graduated or left school. Keep it as an alt costume definitely, but I don't think it should be her default for this game.

But yeah I agree with you, it'd be really strange to place such emphasis on all characters getting older if they still kept Sakura in the schoolgirl outfit (but at the same time that is kind of her thing). I really want her to look like she did in her Street Fighter IV ending, the gym trainer outfit.

So far we already know that Balrog, Guile and Ibuki will be in and all of them appear in the story mode. The other characters that appear in person but are not playable nor confirmed yet are C. Viper, Sakura and Oro. Both C. Viper and Sakura are increddibly popular and well received characters not to mention releant to the plot, but Oro's sudden appeareance struck me as odd. Some other characters mentioned on Rashid's Twitter in the story are Poison, Abel (who is apparently in the mountains searching for Sagat) and Necro (but still in his Ilya persona) and Necro's girlfriend Effie. I'm kinda hoping Necro will return.

Juri is also in story mode too, I like her new get-up, but I hope we can still use her default.
Also is anyone else pissed at Laura's story. It's just a giant f*** you to everyone who wanted Sean.

Decapre is also in story, but only for like 2 lines, Idk how popular she is but I know she's played by quite a few USF4 players.
