saying shadow could be an echo for sonic is exactly like saying luigi could be an echo for mario .

both shadow n Luigi were practically identical to their "opposite halves" but both have evolved and differentiated themselves with time

I would rather have Shadows use his moves from Sonic Battle/Shadow the Hedgehog and I do have specials, here you go
Neutral-b: Chaos Spear: A chargable projectile that at minimum charge does 5 percent and at max charge does 20% plus high knockback.
Side-B: Shadow Rifle: Shadow fires a laser rifle, with each shot dealing 4%, knockback and hitstun.
Up-B:Teleport: Shadow teleports, kicks, then teleports again
Down-B: Chaos Boost/Chaos Control: Like Cloud's Limit, it can be charged and at full charge for 30 seconds all of Shadow's moves damage and knockback are doubled, and he gains a new down-b: Chaos Control which unleashes a wave of chaos control energy and it is a one hit KO move, but drains Shadow's chaos boost and it is dodged with a well timed roll.
Final Smash: Chaos Blast: Shadow turns into Super Shadow and unleashes a giant chaos blast wave one hit KOing if it hits, basically Tabuu's Off Waves.
Fire Somersault would be Fair dealing 15% and moving as far as Fox illusion and it is cancelable.
Also Paper Mario with 3 variants of each special!
Neutral B: Spin Jump/Egg Throw/Bomb: Spin Jump has Mario Spin Jump, dealing 5% damage. Egg throw has Mini-Yoshi throw an egg, dealing 10% damage. Bomb has Bobbery blow up, dealing 15% damage and medium knockback and hitstun
Side B: Hammer Throw/Gulp/Bomb Squad: Hammer throw has Paper Mario throw his hammer, dealing 10% and knockback and hitstun. Gulp has Mini-Yoshi gulp an enemy then spit them out, causing high knockback and 20% damage. Bomb Squad has Mario place down a bomb. After being done 3 times, you can detonate the bombs for 15% each and high knockback.
Down-B: Quake Hammer/Partner Swap(if held)/Hold Fast/Mini-Egg Quake Hammer is an AOE attack that does 15% damage at close range, 10% at medium range, and it does 5% at mininum. Partner Swap swaps out Mario to have Bobbery, Mini-Yoshi, or no partner. Hold Fast is a counter attack that deals twice the damage the countered attack would have done and twice the knockback. Mini Egg is like Egg Throw, but if it hits it shrinks the enemy, making it like the poison mushroom. It also looks identical.
Up-B:Glide/Ground Pound/Bomb Burst: Glide turns Paper Mario into Paper airplane,gives him a slight oost, and lets him glide. If you hit the front of the airplane it will deal 5% damage. Ground Pound has Paper Mario jump onto mini Yoshi and go up, after 5 seconds the mini yoshi will ground pound dealing 25% damage and very high knockback. Bomb Burst has Bobbery explode, boosting paper Mario up. It deals 20% damage to alll enemies.
Final Smash: Peach Beam. The Seven Star Spirits and Twink appea and the peach beam appears, doing 50% damage and very high knockback to anyone who touches it.

I don't see them putting something like that in smash expressly with Sakurai wanting the E rating.

Then what should I use for Shadow's Side-B?

Maybe Dark Spin Dash? Or Fire Somersault?

Spin Dash would be way too generic, although I might do Fire Somersault.

You know, I'm kinda upset Battlefield forms aren't called α forms, such a missed opportunity considering the localization team had the wits to call Final Destination forms as Ω forms.

Literally why would they call battlefield forms Alpha forms? There is nothing first about Battlefield like Final Destination has the word final going for it. If anything the original forms of the stages are the Alpha since, you know they're the first form of the stage. You'd want either Beta to go with the b in Battlefield or Delta since technically it's the third form of the stage, with conveniently 3 platforms. Or Battlefield since it tells you everything you need to know about it without needing to speak in code.
