Um... alright, I guess try this out.

x(x+5) = 2y - 6
y = 6x - 32

Solve for x and y.

x(x+5) = 2y-6
x(x)+5x = 2y-6
x(x)+5x = 2(6x-32)-6
x(x)+5x = 12x-64-6
x(x)+5x = 12x-58
x(x) = 7x-58
x(x)-7x = -58
x(x)+x = 58/7

This is as far as I've gotten.
Never dealt with x squared this year, I don't even think it's part of algebra 1.

Solve for x and y.

x(x+5) = 2y - 6
x^2 + 5x = 2y - 6 / y= 2(6x-32)
x^2 + 5x = 12x - 64 - 6
x^2 + 5x = 12x - 70
x^2 + 5x -5x = 12x - 70 -5x
x^2 = 7x - 70
x^2 -7x = 7x - 70 -7x
x^2 - 7x = -70
Edit: -->: x^2 + x = 10

As far as I got according to what they taught me so far.

Hmm i got as far as this:

x(x+5)=2y-6
y=6x-32

x^2+5x=2y-6
x^2+5x=2(6x-32)-6
x^2+5x=12x-64-6
x^2+5X=12x-70
x^2-7x=-70
x^3=10
x=10cubic root
?

Wow, alright. I'll ease up on you guys, a bit.

2(x+5) = 2y - 6
y = 6x - 32

There. That should be much easier. By the way, x times x is x squared and it is part of Algebra 1.

x=8
y=16
Am I correct?

yup i got it right!

K here it is (it's very easy):

y=3x/4+10
4x+3y=30

How many solutions does this linear equation have?

15 does not equal 26. Try again.

I re-did it and still got it right...
here's my work:
x=8 y=16
2(8+5)=2(16)-6
2(13)=32-6
26=26

Makes perfect sense to me...

Try solving this one Blue Mage! (it's really easy)

Maybe later, I have a speech outline to write for my Communications class.

infinite

Ok, how's this (btw, I don't know what Algebra 1 is but stuff it, go learn algebra 10 (or whatever the highest is) and don't complain)

Simplify
((2x+y)/(x-3)+(x-y)/(x+3)-(3x+2y)/(x^2+x-6))^2=4

then find the relationship between x and y
