First, if this is against the rules of the forum, I would fine to delete this thread. Second, expansion is in quotes because there is no official confirmation about the characters in this discussion or expansion characters in general. Now then. After reading ultrapup's thread of a Knuckles moveset, I thought why not have a controlled place where user's can speculate movesets of characters not announced for SSF2. People can suggest a character they would like to see and imagine what kind of moves they might have. There will be a few rules of course: 01.) This is not a place for requesting a character. Think of this as a speculation wishlist. 02.) Do not bash other people's idea. You might have a different idea, but that does not justify complaining about someone's idea. This also means be open to other people ideas. Either tweak their ideas or move it to a different attack. 03.) Please don't make a moveset for a character too many times. An example is ten users all making separate Luffy movesets. If any, try to work together for one unified moveset. (Max movesets for each character is 3; other after first three will be ignored.)04.) Always source at least one specific game (not the franchise) that the character appeared on a Nintendo system. I don't want to see characters like Master Chief or Sackboy. If there's no source, then it will be ignored. It's not my job to prove that the character was in a Nintendo game, you are suppose to do that. This is more of a preference, but try to find the first Nintendo game they appeared in. 05.) When suggesting a moveset, at minimum four specials and at max the whole set. The minimum also includes with how the moves will work ingame (Does it paralyze or would it have meteor spike). You don't have to put how much damage it will make. 06.) Try not to favor one franchise. I don't want to see one person working on a Shadow, Knuckles, Silver, and Amy moveset. 07.) Although Dragon Ball, Naruto, and Bleach are separate franchises, they and any other anime characters will be under the category of "Anime". This will also be in effect for other media like "Comics" or "Tv Shows". 08.) No completely over-the-top joke characters. At all. I thought this was an unwritten rule, but it appears I need to address it. See the post after this one to get an example of this rule. 09.) Please give feedback to other users' movesets. Sometimes there's movesets that are completely skipped in favor for others. I hope we can have fun with this. Suggested Characters: Shadow the Hedgehog: show The Amazing Nine Tails: show Suggested by warriorman222 Source game: Wind Waker (GC), Spirit Tracks (DS) Universe: Zelda [urlhttp://forums.mcleodgaming.com/viewtopic.php?f=96&t=39656&start=75#p1350338][/url] Toad and Dixie Kong: show Justin Bailey Samus: show The Hero of Legend Link: show Jill and Drill Dozer: show Ragna The Bloodedge: show Yu Narukami and Minato Arisato: show

Welp, I guess I get to start muhahaha! Shadow the Hedgehog (appeared in Shadow the Hedgehog for the Nintendo GC)! EDIT1 New stuff: ftilt, dtilt, upsmash, nair, dair, fair, bair, uair, fthrow, bthrowNeutrals: Jab: Shadow does a single backfist. Ftilt: Shadow does a spinning hook kick. Utilt: Shadow does a back flip, using his rockets to knock an opponent into the air. Dtilt: Shadow sweeps a leg out in front of him. Upsmash: A vicious uppercut. Fsmash: Shadow channels the power of Chaos and snaps his fingers, creating an explosion in front of him. Dsmash: Shadow spin dashes in a circle, creating a dark typhoon that sucks enemies in and deals multiple hits, sends his opponent flying up and Shadow is also launched into the air. Dash Attack: Shadow lunges forward and does a body check, knocking opponents back.
Aerials: Nair: Shadow curls into a ball and spins midair. This attack has sex kick properties. Bair: Shadow kicks behind him. Dair: Shadow does a stomp motion augmented by his rockets. This is a meteor smash. Fair: Shadow reaches out and karate chops an area in front of him. Uair: Shadow turns his body and does a side kick above him. This move is good for juggling.
Specials: Neutral Special: Chaos Spear. A chargeable/storable projectile that deals very little damage uncharged, but has significant KB when fully charged. Side Special: Spin Dash. Shadow curls into a ball and launches himself forward. Hold the special button to remain in a ball, where you can control your direction normally while maintaining forward momentum. You may also jump, and while in the air cancel Spin Dash into aerials. Down Special: Chaos Blast. Shadow stands in place and charges Chaos Blast, releasing it upon letting go of the special button. This move gets stronger and bigger the longer it is charged. Up Special: Chaos Control. Shadow teleports a short distance based on the direction inputted. Shadow cannot use Spin Dash after using Chaos Control.
Throws: Grab: Shadow uses telekinesis to grab an opponent in front of him. Pummel: Shadow constricts his opponent Fthrow: Shadow pushes his opponent away from him Bthrow: Shadow steps froward to grab his opponent by their throat, and proceeds to throw them to the ground behind him. Dthrow: Shadow levitates his victim up, and smashes them into the ground (they are sent flying up). Upthrow: Shadow levitates his victim up above him, then teleports to him and hits him, sending the victim up.
FINAL SMASH: Shadow pulls out a Chaos Emerald, and shouts "CHAOS... CONTROL!" During his incantation, the field is covered in a negative colour scheme and every character freezes in place. Characters who airdodge or otherwise avoid this energy field are merely affected by a passive slow. To the character(s) that are frozen, Shadow has a few seconds with which he can hit them and damage them but they do not get knocked back. At the end of this timer, Shadow releases the CC and all of the KB they would have taken is now released. (bet you hoped it wasn't going to be Super Shadow)

Sorry about that, I just wanted to get that down so that people knew what I was doing. Then I edited immediately

Phoenix Wright (Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney on GBA/DS)
B: Sneeze. Can charge to cover more distance. Stuns for a brief period. Side B: OBJECTION! Points finger with text saying Objection. Can be charged for higher knockback. Down B: Oops. Accidentally drops an item on the ground. Item can be picked up and thrown, or eaten depending on what it is. Differing effects for each item. Up B: Scarf. Phoenix uses a scarf to tether onto a nearby edge at an angle. If opponent is hit by it, they come back with it for combo opportunities.
Final Smash: Overruled Judge appears in background. Proceeds to slam gavel down on stage at random at various places. Anyone hit gets meteor smashed.

I could see a lot of Wright's moveset from UMvC3 being included. There's a lot of inspiration for his aerials there.

I think a HOLD IT! would work better as a stun special.

I like the current idea for his Final Smash as it is creative, but I think we can't forget his Level 3 from umvc3 heh heh.

My idea for Phoenix is basically a very tricky character that is mind game incarnate. I'll elaborate in the future but think along the lines of a fighter that is completely accident prone and absolutely nothing he does resembles any sort of concentrated movement on his part. Don't wanna rip too heavily off of UMVC3's Phoenix but I'll look towards the games as inspirations for his moveset.

Quote from Cave Story: show B= Polar Star: Quote shoots out a level 3 Polar Star shot. 15% damage Down B= Missile Launcher: Quote shoots a level 2 Missile. 30% damage. Up B= Machinegun: Quote charges up and spazzes out the Machinegun shots forward. 5% damage per shot Side B= Snake: Quote shoots out a level 3 Snake shot, which pierces through enemies. 1% damage, 4 hits. Final Smash= Mimiga Mask: Quote puts on the mimiga mask and eats a red flower, causing himself to change form. While in the said form, Quote can punch with A or B buttons. Punching does 75% damage, the form lasts about 10 seconds.

This seems interesting.
Crimson Viper (appeared on SSFIV3DS)
C. Viper, like her traditional fighter incarnation, is a highly technical character that specializes in rushdown. Her moves let her deal a lot of pressure to her opponent, as well as giving her plenty of mobility with a variety of cancels.
* Neutral Special - Focus Attack: C. Viper does a twirling elbow strike after some startup. She can charge the move by holding down the Special button, during which she has heavy armor to absorb blows. On hit, it deals no knockback and above average hitstun based on how long the move is charged. The move also does heavy shield damage, and a fully-charged FA is a guaranteed shield break. The move can be dash-cancelled during startup, and it can be cancelled from Viper's other specials when on the ground, letting C. Viper put on continuous pressure. * Side Special - Burning Kick: C. Viper does a spinning kick with her legs engulfed in fire. She goes airborne for the move, letting her dodge low attacks. Hitting an opponent launches them upward with weak knockback to be followed up with an aerial. Can be used as a horizontal recovery tool, although it makes C. Viper lose attitude faster for its duration. This move is mostly used for combos. * Up Special - Thunder Knuckle: C. Viper touches her glove, during which the player must quickly input a direction, then charges in the chosen direction. By default, she charges forward on the ground and diagonally upward in the air. Viper's main recovery move, although it doesn't have a lot of distance. * Down Special - Seismic Hammer: C. Viper slams at the ground, launching nearby characters upward. Can be jump-cancelled. Unusable in midair. A good launcher for grounded characters due to its large hitbox.
* Final Smash - Ultimate Burst Time: C. Viper hits the ground with a massive shockwave, meteor smashing airborne opponents and knocking down grounded foes. Then, she makes huge burning cartwheels upward, trapping opponents in the inferno and launching them skyward with the final hit.

Barbie Source: Tons of Gameboy Advance, DS, and Wii games.
Description: Barbie's an unorthodox fighter, she refrences alot of her video games and doll lines in her moveset. Most of her basic attacks use mundane actions since she's modeled to be be the perfect average girl. She's super peppy and always tries to bring happiness wherever she goes.
Competitive Analysis: Since I made the complete moveset in about an hour as a whole. I have to say it came out pretty balanced. Barbie's a very weird fighter, alot of her moves are very weak but have secondary effects. All Her Smashes, Up throw, BAir, and DAir can all KO and while they're reliable they're either slow on start up or lag. Barbie also shines as a prominent edgeguarder. Fire Fighter Barbie being very effective at punishing careless recoveries. While False Compact can gimp from the stage. Speaking of gimps Barbie's not afraid to go in deep for a quick FAir gimp. Fairy Flight gifts her with 4 midair jumps, 5 if you count her rather short initial midair jump. She would have a solid air game despite a rather high short-hop and short second jump. Alot of her hitboxes are also very big for a non-sword weilder.
EDIT Finished her moveset.
Stats! Weight: Medium-Light Height: Tall Walk Speed: Slow Dash Speed: Fast Stage Jump: Very High Midair Jump: Very Short Fall Speed: Slow Air Speed: Average
Basic Attacks!

Jab2: Pose! Range: Short Damage: 4% Knockback: Low Barbie strikes a fashionable pose! Can hit on both sides of Barbie.
Dash Attack: Elegant Fall Range: Medium Damage: 11% Knockback: Medium Barbie practices her acting skills by doing a dramatic pratfall. Comes out quick, but considerable ending lag. Can spike opponents in the air.

Up Tilt: Bubbly Yawn Range: Medium Damage: 7% Knockback: Low/None Barbie does a tiring yawn. Hitting anything above her. Will put enemies to sleep if they're on the ground beside Barbie. In which case won't deal any knockback or damage.
Down Tilt: Shoe Fix Range: Short Damage: 2% Knockback: Low Barbie leans over and pulls up her heel. Low knockback, damage, and range but it's very fast and causes tripping.
Smash Attacks!
Forward Smash: Barbie's Cuddle Me Kitten Range: Medium Damage: 15% all hits connect Knockback: High Barbie happily shows you her cute cuddly kitten! Except it's angry, and claws at your opponent. The last hit deals knockback. A disjointed reliable kill move.

Down Smash: Fitness Hoop Range: Short Damage: 10% Knockback: High Barbie uses her Playful Fitness Barbie Hula-Hoop to hit enemies around her. While getting a fun workout. Hitbox covers Barbie's waist, making it higher off the ground than most Down Smashes. It's a semi-spike.

Down Special: False Compact Range: Long Damage: 1% Knockback: None Secret Agent Barbie throws a special compact that excretes knockout gas. Unique ability to make enemies sleep midair. Strength of sleep is determined by how much percent the opponent has. Similar to Jigglypuff's Sing.
Up Special: Fairy Flight Range: Very Long Barbie uses her inner Fairy Magic to temporarily sprout transparent Fairy Wings, giving her 4 extra jumps. She can't attack while this special is active after the 4th jump she goes into helpless state. She doesn't lose any jumps if she's hit in between jumps.
Final Smash: Barbie and the Magical Pegasus Range: Very Long Damage: 25% Knockback: Very High Barbie rides on her Magical Pegasus to spread love and joy on the stage. The Pegasus has infinite jumps and can shoot rainbow laser beams from it's eyes.
