I would've said Snake, but I have a theory that he'll be an unlockable in the full game. This is mainly due to the fact that, just like Brawl, Shadow Moses Island was already unlocked but Snake wasn't.

In general, too many "sources" come out and admit things that are false. The Villager/Young Link rumor was 100% false, but that doesn't mean they are not going to be in the game.

I hope you remember the Pac-Man leak from APEX 2015, Kirb-Star. When Cleod "accidentally" leaked Pac-Man, it got all of us guessing. Even though the wiki says it was fake, we do not have a definitive answer on whether he will join or not. The Devs are secretive about who is going to join the playable roster in SSF2, and they have been really quiet on the Pac-Man leaks for the past year and almost a half.

I hope alternate costumes become a thing because that would mean Dr. Mario would make an appearance as an alt for Mario.

It wouldn't actually make sense for Kratos to be an alt of Lloyd. Kratos only uses one sword.

What's all of this talk about alt characters? Where does Daisy fit into this? She can't be an alt for Peach surely? She doesn't pluck turnips or hide behind a Toad.

It depends on what the devs do. It may be the case that she's playable, an alt or outright not in the game.
