I have a few questions about the type of discussions allowed.
- The way the section's worded, it sounds like it's only about hardware. Is it possible to talk about software, too? If so, perhaps a rename to "general technology" might work out.
- Is it alright to talk about betas? I'm talking about games, operating systems, and general software.
- Would guides to certain betas and what they contain as opposed to the final version work?
I really think the section has potential, but right now it's a dead tech support section, and it needs serious restructuring.

there's a programming/software section already so i don't think you can talk about software here
but i agree it'd be nice for this section to have a revamp
like, i normally go to pcmag.com to learn about rad new hardware, but it'd be nice to get updates from here

The majority of threads in that board are (relatively) simple questions that could easily be answered with a simple google search, so I'd sooner worry about whether the section is necessary in the first place

Yeah, absolutely. We need a general tech section, and if it happens, we need to place a ban on simple questions. I'd say have a giant red warning, but it still hasn't worked for this section.
