But in all serious, succubi/lust has been done to death in probably 90% of media relating to this kind of thing and I consider technically the older characters (The Princes and the Archangels) asexual/androgynous, as they are in the Bible.

It's supposed to be a corrupted version of Ziexiel, seen in the white hair and jacket. The main female Rachael is the antithesis/representative of Lust, and her interest in him is what makes Asmodeus take on his general appearance, but with his demonic attributes when they inevitably face off.


Basically, one sick joke to everyone involved.

Belphegor's way of powering up is to hop into a thought power mecha built by some underlings.
Hop isn't the right word, seeing as that would likely cause earthquakes, but you get the idea.

Yeah uh, perhaps you should stop watching those animes.

They are for machines. Inorganic, metallic, pieces of steel and wires. Not for any other purpose besides grabbing cheetos.


Clarification is needed for tentacles. This has been noted.

The Player Character in the Arms of Gray idea. Customization would work like Fire Emblem: Awakening's where the genders are interchangeable and hair can be styled and colored.

One arm is a mechanical one, the other is a magic prosthetic. The red thing on their chests are artificial hearts.

Some really giant dude named Evan.

I lied when I said I was making the other princes' red forms.

Instead I made Silent Hill inspired enemies.


The basic enemy, known as a Product. Clearly, they have a lot of variants.

A boss/miniboss variant, known as a Culmination.

A Cluster, which hover around and attack. They are supposed to have multiple variants, where the individual balls become smaller and the symbolism aspect becomes more apparent, but trust me, it doesn't come across well with sprites.

A Belphegor clone Mirror Beast. The mirror is supposed to be physically part of it, rather than just tacked on.



These appear in a different plot related section.

A Roach. They come by the dozens by flying around. Easy to kill.

An Apex. The black thing is supposed to be a random gun integrated into the arm. Hard to kill, and has a ranged attack along with using the large arm.


Bonus points if you can guess the symbolism behind any of them.

Finally finished the rest of them.


Beelzebub
Not as grand as I imagined, but I'm not skilled enough to make a sprite of a spider/locust with a torso. I considered ignoring the spider centaur and just going with a locust, but I might go back to that. Also, if the entirety of his torso being made of mouths didn't make it obvious enough, he is the Prince of Gluttony.


Leviathan
Probably my largest sprite to date. Took a bit of inspiration from the various pictures floating around, but mostly my own ideas. Most of the tail is underwater because I didn't feel like doing a bunch of tedious shading.


Satan
Because nothing says evil like ripping your eyeless friend's heads off and using them as power ups. Satan is known and symbolized in the Bible as the Seven Headed Dragon, and this seemed like a pretty good interpretation/characterization. Each of the heads has a different breath weapon, going molten gold for Mammon, Hellfire for Leviathan, boiling blood from Amon, breath of decay from Beelzebub, acidic bile from Asmodeus, and electricity from Belphegor. Eventually, he becomes even more dragon like, but I felt like it's been long enough.

Engineers! *Nope*

He reminds me a bit of Orochi.

Just mythology I guess.

In English class, we discussed Joseph Campbell, and how this sort of thing is embedded in our minds. Miles, years, and oceans of separation, and a multiheaded serpent acting as an evil demon exists in all sorts of cultures... Interesting.
