Hundred million times prefer Lucina to Roy personally, so I really don't mind.

I actually meant in the Nintendo board room discussions, but upon re-reading, can see that was not clear

Maybe it's because Robin has the fancy artwork picture that Lucina's conveniently in as well. Because they already have that for both Robin and Lucina, Lucina might've been just boxed to keep with the format of the newcomers having their artwork next to them on the website. Robin probably got the picture since he/she was more of the focus of the trailer than Lucina.
