NEWS UPDATE

Ok, so firstly, expect a post up tomorrow night. Expect it.

Secondly, I'd like to talk to you all about the future of this RP. This has been running for almost a year now and I definitely do not see this ending anytime soon. There are multiple story arcs that I intend to have play out with you lovelies. So, I've done some thinking, and I've decided to share with you my grand design of things. Partly so you can save your character creation for later parts in the series, as I also intend to bring an end to any new characters joining after the beginning of the next chapter. Now calm down, that does not mean that new players will not be able to join, or veteran characters won't be able to make more characters.

Every Arclight Academy school year (Fall-Winter-Spring) is one book. No, I have not determined how many chapters may be in a book, as that evolves with how you guys react in the RP, though I'm hoping to have most of the foundational aspects of this world completely set up by the end of it. After the completion of one school year, a series of things can happen: you can get rid of your character (which I will explain through plot in a manner that makes sense), and/or you can create a new character who will join the school with the new year.

Speaking of the movement of characters, characters created by players will never disappear unless they do so in the aforementioned manner. They either become background stock characters a la Harper and Lukas, NPCs like Basil, or the go through the writing out process. The writing out process is basically me working the story so that the individual is given a valid explanation for not longer being in the story. However, during the process, should someone wish to return, they can simply state that they'd like to take control of their character again, and I'll adjust the story accordingly.

So long story short, there's lots to look forward to.
