Really, how so?

I never played Secret Agent Clank.

If you haven't played them all then how can you say that no Ratchet&Clank game is bad???

Hypothesis: A review uses subjective criteria to reach a formulated conclusion (although it's undeniable that occasionally objective factors like the excistance of glitches etc. weight in on said descision) meaning that it's fairly possible that your opinion might deviate from that of a reviewer !!

As far as the newer Ratchet&Clank games go (in specific; the Future Trilogy) I kinda disliked the whole 'Ratchet without Clank thing' that Quest for Booty and a Crack in Time('Clockblockers') had going. Crack in Time made up for this with the amazing space overworld, Quest for Booty felt a bit to shot and limited as far as enviroment goes (for a Ratchet&Clank game at least).
The latest title in the series, All 4 One, had me dissappointed, but I appreciate that they tried out the concept of multiplater co-op. I also kind of disliked that the series went to a lighter tone of humour, considering I was rather font of the quirkier sense of humour of the original and future trilogy.

This is coming from someone who has followed the Ratchet and Clank series since the beginning and played through each of them at least four times:

Ratchet and Clank - Great game bogged down by dodgy controls. Establishes the humor and allows the characters to get comfortable in their roles.

Ratchet and Clank: Going Commando - Fantastic game, tries to do a lot of new things, but never really fleshes them out. (My personal favorite.)

Ratchet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal - Great game, lacking in the story. The new female lead replaces Angela right the f*** outta nowhere and doesn't contribute anything whatsoever. On the other hand, it introduces Dr. Nefarious. He singlehandedly made that game what it is.

Ratchet: Deadlocked - Amazing new take on the series, extremely fun. Shines on combat and throws a lot of the platforming out the window. This isn't bad though, since it saw a slew of new things to compliment the focus.

Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction - Solid entry, but is pretty much identical to how the first game played, just on a next gen console.

Ratchet & Clank Future: Quest for Booty - A pirate-themed adventure that recaptured the spirit of the entirety of the first three games on a next gen console, as well as a handheld. Definitely worth playing, but I recommend you do it on the PS3. Veterans know how useful two sticks are.

Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time - 10/10 Strongest entry in the series, fun puzzles, fantastic level design, great story, hilarious dialogue, etc. There's literally nothing to complain about. Buy it and play it many times.

Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One - Easily the weakest, so far. It has almost no story and is pretty much an, albeit surprisingly long, multiplayer showcase. Give it a play, but find a friend to do it with.

Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters - Very fun, more of the same though. If you want something new, look elsewhere.

Secret Agent Clank - A small adventure with Clank. Interesting puzzles, but little else. Still a nice detour.

Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault - Boring, repetitive, uninspired tower defense/moba. I say you pass this by and let it die. Whether you really should play it or not, as the plumber would say "Oh, sorry friend. That kind of advice, I'm afraid I don't have. Good luck."

And that's that. Almost every single game is the tits.

I never played the weird coop one, but I played the rest. Fun series, 2 was my favourite and I didn't really enjoy 3 for some reason. Gladiator was excellent.

f*** yeah, they are. Oh man, I remember going to every single Insomniac Museum they created. It was so cool looking behind the scenes and trying out concept mechanics whilst actually playing the game.
