Maining characters is for those with weak minds. People who don't want to take the time to comprehend the entire game. Me on the other hand? I main the entire cast. While most people are busy trying to optimize a single character, I choose to optimize them all. Mario, Goku, Mickey Mouse, Black Mage, etc... So while most of you will remain scrub tier, I'll ascend to the next level and be on par with the likes of Reggie, Rick Ross, and Batman.

Why don't we talk about why we main the characters we do? There's not going to be much to discuss if all we do is post smilies, which, for many of us, are in our signature anyway.

^Alright then, I'll start.

has always been in my comfort zone ever since I first discovered the game in v0.6. He's slower than most other characters yes, but he can dish out powerful counterattacks if anticipated properly (at least for me). Also with the flash steps added in v0.9a he's becoming more and more unique. Bleach was my favorite anime as a kid, so I guess that has some influence too.

and his younger counterparts have always been one of my mains in the mainstream Smash Bros games, so naturally I'd use him here too. I like the changes SSF2 made to him, specifically the Bomb-Arrow - that will always be my favorite aspect.

is probably my favorite main gameplay wise, mainly due to the mass variety in his attacks. His fully charged smashes are a pleasure to use, and each and every one of his moves feel unique; I really love the way the devs included the FF spells into his moveset, extremely well done.

was due to me forcing myself to main a character I never had any success at in the mainstream Smash Bros games. And, it worked. He's fast, floaty and has a sick combo game. He's definitely the weakest out of my mains, however.

- He's a glass cannon, and glass cannons are my thing. I've also mained him since Flash 1 so yeah

- one of my secondaries. They're flexible in playstyle which is what I need when the whole glass cannon thing isn't working out in a set or w/e.

- another secondary. He's just fun so I use him.

- more of a pocket but I pick him often in friendlies. He's basically Lloyd but K tier.

EDIT: Oh yeah and one more thing, If you're one of those guys who mains more than 2 characters, you're doing it wrong.

- First video game character I ever played as was him in Smash 64. He's been my main ever since.

- He feels pretty much tailor-made for an overly-aggressive casual like me. He's a freaking brute, and brutes are fun.
(Fun fact: it was SSF2 that got me into Dragon Ball. Not the other way around.)

- I'm not ashamed to say it; I'm "that" kind of furry, and I think he's hot.

- Because I am one indecisive little bastard a lot of the time, especially when I'm playing against the computer.
