I've been working on a Dry Bones sprite lately, largely based on a Paper Mario sprite.

It isn't that different, but I would like you to comment on it.

Also note that the left hand is missing.

Sigh...please comment :?

I can see that you're trying to copy the drybones in your avatar. Without getting that pose, you're not going anywhere.

This is simply the "base sprite".The whole chest and shell are hidden in the avatar,so I made this sprite in order to base all the rest onto it.

EDIT:Anyone willing to rate the animations below?

I'm really irritated when people make 2 frame animations, and when they stretch out the background while the animation is going... The last one just needs to be slowed down...

1. It's two frames, no big deal.

2. Decent, but looks a bit odd on closer examination.

3. Good, but the bar wasn't set all that high.

1.Yeah I know, but does it look good?Feel free to suggest an idea.

2.Could you be more specific?I'll try and fix it if you tell me what you think it's wrong.

3.What do you mean?

I am also suspecting that my comp is displaying the animation speed differently, but since Flash can adjust the animation speed it doesn't look much of a problem.

Thanks both of you for rating my animations and not being harsh.

1. NEVER USE TWO FRAME ANIMATIONS EVER. They never look good. Either shift via subpixels, or extend the motion.

2. The loop completely breaks down on even slightly close examination. The legs overlap and get confused and there isn't enough consistency to establish which is which.

3. The shape is too spherical, and the stomach doesn't really convey motion.

1.Sure,I'll just have to think of a new animation.By the way aren't some short attacks supposed to be 2-framed?

2.Hmmmm...should I add to/resprite this animation or making it slower could work?

3.The shape shouldn't be too difficult but the motion-conveying stomache might give me a hard time.I will try this anyway.

Once again,thank you.

Nothing should ever be 2 framed. A 2 framed attack is wrong. Just wrong.

Lol you silly people, thats how it was in CoM or thats how it was ripped. Here's my newest one(and yes, we're trying to switch Clouds to this one):

You always have good points Evilagram, but I directly edited from CoM. Well, except you know, moving the left(his right) leg down some so that it wouldn't be iso.

Old news is old :/

I've seen that sheet a million times already, and, IMO, it's not any better than the AC Cloud. We'd be better off with our Brawlified JUS Cloud that the devs are making.

Sheet? Where? Gee, thanks for the compliments guys. Ill continue working with NU without posting any progress here.

And this is the part where everyone flames you for not taking critique at all and instead throwing a hissy fit and giving people bad sprites...?

Well, I was planning on it, but now it would just seem so...
No, I'm still going to do it.

Brave, come on, people tell you how to fix it, and instead of accepting it, you're just going to deny any criticism and no longer give us anything to criticize?
Don't you want SSF2 to be the greatest Flash release of 2012?

A less obvious edit would help too, try something that fits his figure and stance better
(editing the sprite you use, might also be necessary to change the identity )
