How old are you?:
13

Which characters do you play in SSF2? Why do you play these characters? (Note: do not list characters that are not currently in the game):
Though I switch characters from time to time trying to find the perfect play-style for me, I am most notorious for my Kirby, which is probably the character I have most experience with. I also currently play a lot of Marth, Link, and Wario, and I have good experience with Ness, Sheik, and Meta Knight.

How much experience do you have with official Smash titles? (SSB64, Melee, Brawl. Include in this answer which characters you play/played.):
I do play melee frequently with friends, though, competitively I don't have much experience, I do know the basic fundamentals of competitive melee. I main Ice Climbers, because despite usually being known as stupid, I like their dynamics and they are just really fun to play.
I have played Smash 4, but, not a lot, and I use Sonic so..

Have you ever attended any Smash tournaments? If so, give some details about the tournament (number of participants, which games, etc). How well did you place?
I've joined countless of SSF2 tournaments, and at my prime I usually got 1st to 3rd at tournaments with decent players. Nowadays I don't usually join tournaments but when I do I usually rank in the top 8, or I leave near the beginning.
here are some of the big tournaments i was in -

When did you start playing SSF2?
I started playing competitively during v0.9b, when Zelda was mid-tier and Mega-man was a low tier.

What is your favorite stage in SSF2? Explain.
I really like 3DS, mostly because of the benefits it brings to some of my favorite characters. (kirb and wario) It is also just doesn't lag online, making it one of my go to stages.

Who, in your opinion, should be placed first on the SSF2 tier list? Under competitive settings why would this character perform on a higher level than all others?
Meta Knight. He is incredibly fast on his feet, he has amazing aerials that cover a good amount of range, he has great tilts that come out very fast and can lead into his kill moves, he has an amazing recovery with 5 extra jumps and 4 specials that he can choose to recover with. His grab is fast, his throws have amazing utility, and once the opponent is offstage, it is near impossible to get back on against a skilled Meta Knight. His only notable flaw is that he is prone to getting killed early due to being light, but that is overshadowed by his amazing traits.

Who, in your opinion, should be placed last on the SSF2 tier list? Under competitive settings why would this character perform on a lower level than all others?
I personally think it is Sora. Sora has awkward range as a sword user, and can't really approach without risk being involved. He is combo weight and can't really fend off the opponent in the air. Sora's combo game is okay, but its nothing to be amazed about. His aerials don't connect with each other often and he has to rely on using UpB for combos most of the time, which can lead him open if it doesn't connect. Also add in the fact that Sora has to have the worst kill power in the game, and you have the last character on the tierlist.

If you could make only one change to SSF2 as it currently is, what would it be and why?
It would probably be to make Zelda and Sheik one character on their own, because some people like to call Sheik, then switch to Zelda at the start and play her the rest of the game. Zelda and Sheik deserve their own slots.

What is your view on items in competitive play?
Adds too much RNG. No.

Do you have or can you download Skype? You don't need a mic or webcam.
yes

Why do you want to join the Smash Flash Back Room? What will you contribute? Why are you an exceptional applicant? Be as detailed as possible.
I want to join so I can contribute and discuss ideas to the BR. I can contribute some insight on how I feel about certain topics involving the stagelist, matchups, and the tierlist, in addition to characters I have good experience with. I feel like I've got enough experience with SSF2 to help develop the metagame.

Additional information (Include in this section anything relevant to your application. This could include links to videos of yourself playing.)

Use the following stagelist:

Stagelist: show
Neutral:
Battlefield
Final Destination/Nintendo 3DS
Smashville
Pokemon Stadium 3
Yoshi's Story

Counterpick:
Dreamland
Tower of Salvation
Castle Siege
Dracula's Castle
Sky Sanctuary Zone
WarioWare
Mirror Chamber

1. I propose the following argument and ratio for the MU of Kirby-Fox:

"In this MU, Fox surprisingly struggles. Kirby's frame is small enough to evade many of Fox's most common options like running SH nair and Kirby's punishes on Fox with usmash chains and brutal edgeguards can take stocks extremely quickly. Kirby's edgeguards are made worse by the fact that Kirby can force Fox offstage by comboing into bair, fair, or Hammer. Fox's lasers don't really do much due to Kirby's frame, and Fox can't really combo Kirby all that effectively. Fox's saving grace is his kill power, but even that isn't enough to rescue this surprising low-tier counter MU, which I rate 30-70 in Kirby's favor."

Do you agree with this analysis? Why or why not?

2. Would you support making FDS a counterpick and moving Dreamland to neutrals? Why or why not? What is the purpose of a counterpick list and a neutral list? Is Final Destination (skip 3DS) a neutral stage? What about Dreamland?

(sorry i forgot)

1. I can agree with someone Kirby's benefits but it's essentially overlooking Foxes advantages. Fox is fast and he can challenge Kirby in the air with his fast aerials and can juggle Kirby in the air since he has no decent options for getting down. While Kirby is strong in the air, he is very vulnerable to getting poked by Foxes strong aerials. Chaining usmash is a myth and doesn't really work in an actual game, most of the time. Fox can bait Kirby out or use dtilt when dealing with a campy Kirby. Inhale is easy to avoid, and leaves Kirby extremely early to an up-smash. Fox CAN combo Kirby at low percents and his fast ground moves and strong aerials will rack up damage against Kirby relatively fast. Kirby can't really combo Fox at low/mid percents and has to rely on dashattack and bair to get Fox onto a bad position. Fox's killpower really seals the deal here, usually killing Kirby at around 80-100%, which as I said, is really easy to get him to that percent. Kirby's frame is small, but its not so small that Fox can't hit Kirby with any of his approach options, but Fox still has to be careful. 30-70, even for that analysis, is too exaggerated, just Foxes kill-power alone would probably bump it up to 35-65. Kirby does have the Bair, a brutal punish game, and is small but its not so bad for fox that its 30-70
Overall the analysis was wrong on some things, and it was biased on Kirby's side. I'd say it's 50-50

2. I would.
A counterpick stage usually has a "gimmick" or something unique about it that could potentially give an advantage for certain characters. FDS is just flat with no platforms. It gives advantages to characters who can't deal with platform camping and characters that chain-grab (up). Overall, FD would not be a good contender for the neutral list, as it may not be fair for certain players. Dreamland could be considered a counterpick, but I would prefer it being on the neutral list. The neutral list consists of stages that may have small advantages for certain characters (its bound) while still being relatively fair for the whole cast. Dreamland is a tri-plat stage with relatively big blast zones. It structure makes it typically fair for the whole cast, which would make it a good contender for the neutral list.
