I downloaded the linux version of the game and I try to run the executable but get GLib errors. I dont know if it is my problem or a bug in the game.

From my experience, the Linux version is really just a trash port using the latest fp standalone (11.whateverthehellitis). You're better off running the SWF directly in the browser, or launching the Windows version in Wine.
That still doesn't fix the lack of supported online mode, though.
Additionally, since Adobe has killed off flashplayer support for *nixes, v0.9b will likely be the last version for Linux, and I won't be surprised if Beta doesn't get a release on *nixes.

I disagree with Doq about there being no Linux release. The exe is basically composed of multiple swfs. When running it in the browser it only needs one of them. So if there is no Linux release for Beta, try extracting the exe and placing the swfs alongside the data folder. Then run each one and figure out which is the booster. Once you find the booster, you can discard the others.
