You know how marth has the slow counter and the fast counter? In lag the game tends to choose clientside and thus desyncs the game since slow and faster counter have different frame data. :gamer:
And no, its not 100% guaranteed, just very high up there. As the player most notorious for lag, I think I know my lag :3

What are you talking about? Marth doesn't have two different counters, he only has one lol

He is talking about the inconsistency problem with counter that I keep bring up.

Thing is, Marth hasonly one coded counter. The only thing that might cause different speeds is hitstun.

So, in short, you guys are saying there is an issue where Counter can have different hitstun in both games.

Does anyone have tips for doing double fairs in online? I'm able to do double fairs almost 100 percent of the time against cpus, but I can't seem to do them in online.

Sometimes it gets tricky due to delay online, but just keep practicing online and you should get the hand of it.

Are you trying to do full hop double fairs or short hop double fairs?

Short hop double fairs. I think my main problem is being too slow in getting the first fair out.

If any of you want to go TAS with me, I can show you the likeliness of marth's counter desyncing a laggy game, and Zelda's sideB desyncing a laggy game when it hits the floor

How is tipper usmash, a move with a super-weird awkward sweetspot in a haystack of sourspot hits, better than arguably the best smash in the game?

Ummm read that again Code, I said it was stronger, not better.

Also I wouldn't put Marth's forward smash up there of being one of the best smash attacks in the game.

"strong" means "effective and useful" as well as "lots of KB"

Fsmash is AMAZING. It extends the range where you have to worry about Marth a lot, so it has huge implicit pressure even when you aren't using it, because dash-back fsmash, dash-forward fsmash, or just plain fsmash cover so much ground so quickly. It kills a 80% if you get the right hit, and with bad DI even less on some characters. It's punishable, but barely so: not super laggy, especially because you have to be so far away to not get hit before you punish it (awful on shield tho)

Thank you Jammy.

I meant the latter obviously.

To me, the best smash attack is the safest and easiest to combo into. Not something that Marth's f smash is like. Hell people are throwing it out so much trying to hit with it that it makes Marth look pathetic.

Hmmm, it seems that Code might have to resign from the BR if he doesn't come up with better material.
