"Really, And what makes you so sure that you can go further." I heard that the woods beyond is pretty dangerous, You sure you want to go on?" Shadow asks as he stands properly still holding the katana, Shadow continue walking around him, "So what do you choose, Trust me you properly shouldn't continue beyond, Just look down as I said what is beyond is more dangerious." Shadow says looking at the katana and then pointing it to him and start, "So you better choose you decision I don't want to waste any more time on this." Shadow says confident taking a fighting position based on speed to dodge any upcoming attacks at him.

This guy is definitely stubborn as an @$$. Rattigan thought indifferently. He's still trying to disuade me from contunuing on. He watched as the guy shifted his fighting stance to a more defensible position, apparently expecting an attack from Rattigan. Well, if he is, He thought, he is going to be disappointed.
"Look." He said patronizingly and scratching his temple casually. "I don't want to fight you, but I'm not turning back either. What does it concern you, anyway?" And with that, Rattigan turned and continued on his way, hopping across the bamboo. Then, as if remembering something, he turned to the other person he saw earlier and said to Shadow,
"Why don't you take it out on him?" He then turned back around and continued on his way.

OOC: This is like a dramatic RP practice.
"I just saw so many kids like you die before, I don't want to see it again." Shadow says with a calm voice, Then Shadow stand straight, "Tell me what is so important to you that you want to go there so bad, As I can see there must be some important reason for you to go there." Shadow says taking a look behind to see the man the kid was pointing to, " I really don't care about him." Shadow says as he takes a few steps forward "So now tell me what is your goal, It look interesting huh." Shadow says going around Rattigan slowly keeping track of him and the man Rattigan pointed to staying ready to move if necessary.

Rattigan pondered Shadow's words. If all he truly wanted to know was what Rattigan was after, then why would he be so aggressive? No. Rattigan thought. He obviously wants to know what I'm after to decide whether it would be of any value to him. He almost chuckled to himself, as his destination would be of no significance to this stranger.
"Quite simple." Rattigan said disarmingly. "I seek knowledge. I have heard that there is a cave around this area somewhere. In this cave is said to be shelf upon shelf of tomes and volumes that contain within them information betraying all the secrets of the "Middle Ground". The cave was supposedly a hideaway of Merlins, which he used to store all of his abundant wisdom."
Rattigan continued to observe Shadow, awaiting his response to this. Would he attack? Would he try to hinder Rattigan from trying to go any farther? Would he want the tomes for himself? Or would he, infact, just let Rattigan on his way? That seemed a very unlikely circumstance, so Rattigan summoned his shield from the Middle Grounds into his hand, but not his sword, not wanting to provoke any rash action from Shadow.

OOC: Looks like there is no fighting here I can't change my character's attitude.
Shadow closes his eyes and smile "Pretty nice trick, I see that you are looking for something useful, Since we are going through the same way why don't we go there together until I find the information I want." Shadow says as he opens his eyes waiting for an answer from Rattigan as he slowly put his katana back trying to his trust to Rattigan as he walks some steps to the other side trying to keep a distance from Rattigan to send him the message that he won't attack him, "So what do you think?" Shadow says taking a look at Rattigan while getting to the other side waiting for an answer from Rattigan.

If Rattigan was surprised by Shadow's response, he didn't show it. He couldn't afford to show his emotions to anyone he didn't know well. However, though the stranger seemed to be appreciative of Rattigan's motives, it could be a trick. He would allow Shadow to accompany him for the time being, but he would have to keep an eye on this one.
"Well," Started Rattigan, "That depends on the kind of information you're looking for. I don't know what you're after, and it would be much easier to trust you if I did."
Rattigan persisted in watching him, but eventually turned his gaze to the other visitor, wondering what his actions be. Whether he would follow them, try to stop them, or attempt to join the party was lost on him. It didn't matter. If he got in the way, he wouldn't last half a minute agains two people, and if he did intend to join, the more the merrier.

OOC: C'mon, Thai, you've been accepted, post already!

"It is just..." Shadow stands silent for a moment, "My village was burned down by some soldiers, I had to escape it and the next time I saw it, It was turned into a heavily guarded barrack which was extremely hard to enter due to the guards and the good defensive position on the mountain," Shadow says with a low unclear sound like he is trying to avoid remembering what he said, Shadow takes a look to the man coming toward the bamboo pit, (Who is that guy, Is he a friend or a foe.) Shadow takes a sharp look toward him waiting for any moves that might come from him while trying to see any weapons he might have.

More strangers now, as if they grouped themselves together. What they were planning he did not know but he would find out soon enough. He fell back holding on to some bamboo and traversed under the top of the shoots in a way resembling a monkey. This was his home terrain, and to protect it, he would challenge any interlopers. Both of them were armed. Overtaking them as they advanced slowly and almost unsteadily, as compared to him that is, the Guardian leapt up in front of them, his gosetsukon drawn as he stood on one at the very top of the bamboo shoot.

"What is your business here?" he ask, forcefully, the voice raspy and dry.

Rattigan looked surprised. After observing for minutes, Rattigan had thought that the onlooker wouldn't try to intervene at all. He noticed as the curious eyes dropped beneath his line of site and bamboo stalks began to shake as the stranger transversed the distance between them. Rattigan himself wavered unsteadily as on of the sticks near him shook. The stranger then jumped up in front of them, landing gracefully on the top of a bamboo shaft. Inwardly, Rattigan was completely amazed, but it didn't show on his features. He carried a wicked looking pole, run clear up the side with razorlike protrusions. He wasn't surprised in the least when the intimidating figure asked him what his business was. His voice was rough, the way you'd think a plant might sound if it could talk.
"I -we I guess, now- seek only knowledge. We don't mean to impose, we seek only passage."

"I will have to ask you the same question, Who are you? Or at least what are you?" Shadow says as he takes a few steps forward "As he said we only want a passage, I hope you don't mind huh." Shadow says noticing a sharp bamboo stick and his hand (Is he actually going to use it? a bamboo creature using bamboo) "I guess you already know that the weapon you are using is hard to master, I can tell you stayed here for a pretty long time properly lived most of your life here, I hope you would allow us to just pass through here we mean no harm." Shadow says trying to hide how he is surprised by the nature of this creature still ready to dodge if he had to.

"Do not patronise me, young one," the Guardian snarled, "I am guardian of this forest and passage is forbidden in this area. Turn around and find another path, it far too dangerous for you."

The gosetsukon was held horizontally, as if to bar the way of the two young interlopers.

"Know that trespassers will be attacked, survivors will be attacked again."

OOC: ...Okay, I'm setting a minimum of five lines. Seriously. First offence means disqualification.

Rattigan could feel his muscles tense as this newcomer revealed its truely hostile and inhospitable nature. He really wanted to continue onward. Backtracking and going around would mean countless hours of hacking away at trees, and he was already nearly worn out. He wondered to himself if he had enough energy left to defeat this stranger, even with the help of his newfound "friend". He made a quick decision, launching himself through the air at the stranger with as little warning as possible, sword first. He was going to deny his query as many advantages as he possibly could.

OOC: Can I post less than five lines too? never mind.
"So it have to come to this." Shadow closes his eyes smiling, "I am not turning around, I already wasted enough time coming through here, You can hit again and again I won't stop, I can clearly see that you really on strength from how you warned us, You think you can beat any one with one hit, Think again!" Shadow says grabbing his katana noticing Rattign's warning shot, "Know that he won't back off, I can see it in his eyes." Shadow take a battle stance "Sorry, But what is forbidden will be tresspased, Come on bamboo head." Shadow says getting ready to fight.
OOC: I think the new forum update made the post line longer, Even our old posts became smaller, Maybe you should less the line limit.

OOC: When I say five lines, I mean that the post has to reach into the fifth line. It doesn't have to be five full lines, but keep in mind that that's the bare minimum. I will become quite irritated if you just post as little as you can every time without going under the limit, so try to do as much as you can. I'm letting Thai off this once because they might not have seen my warning, but I'm serious. Any less than the minimum, and you're out.
