The former would be nice, too, though :p I'm a regular poster on Smashboards, and everyone I talk to knows SSF2 is my primary game. At least one other user I know already suggested that SB get a SSF2 subsection like P:M did (though admittedly, it was a confession thread, but still). That's why I made the mock-up icons in my (and several other peoples') signature.

Oh, well getting this onto the Smash boards seems a little more realistic. These boards aren't set up in a way that makes customization super easy since it's been so heavily modded already

Could it perhaps be pretty much just a copy+paste of the country flag code, and replaced with stock icons and character names?

I can accept that smash bros is, in fact, very popular on these boards, but I do not agree that that is in itself a reason to include sm4sh icons. Sm4sh will likely be played by a very large percentage of the people who actively use this website, but that does not affect its relevancy. A large number of users play Project M, an upcoming fan-developed game. It's arguably more relevant, but neither I nor anyone else would be in the right to suggest adding Project M icons to the site. I fully respect you and your suggestion, but please allow me to disagree.

I know it isn't really related to the main issue but Project M is nowhere close to being a percentage as relevant as smash 4.
That being said even if we have to make them as emoticons in a box on the side I think it would be cool.

Whenever I get home I'll try making emoticons for Smash 4.

I was thinking mostly for SSF2 but yeah couldn't hurt for you to have your hand at it.

well considering this board is based on a game that is based on a smash game, i'd say that in itself is a fair enough reason to include smash 4 not to mention it'll be released before SSF2, which means it'll be released before brawl, the very game SSF2 was based on

Is Kuro Kagami's suggestion to copypaste the flag code feasible? If not, is there any other way of accomplishing a similar effect? If not, should this be added to declined ideas?

It doesn't seem like it'd be possible to do it safely, the flag code (and any extension for that matter) can result in a lot of file changes, and it'll be a bit messy for me to tweak that for Smash icons. I'll have to see if there's a better way

Couldn't just replacing the flags entirely be possible? I don't know what the flags are for anyway considering there is a location text field. Or maybe I'm just talking out my a**. Very viable possibility.

The flags require database entries among other things, I might see if I can think of a more "hacky" way to do things
