Alright, Love Guru topic, I have a problem. I have someone I'm interested in and I think she likes me back. However, if I remember correctly, she is a Christian. I'm an Atheist. To the point where I find it cool to side alongside Lucifer and attack heaven. Sure. I say this because it happens in a game but.. well. You know. People take offense to this stuff. I really don't want to f*** it up. I think I'm getting somewhere and I really think it could work out. I have a habit of saying "Oh God" and I have done it in front of her, and also said the the thing with Lucifer to someone, but she could hear. I didn't realize she was in hearing range at the time but remembering it, she never got mad at me. Even the times when I yelled "OH GOD", she never got mad and even laughed in some cases. But I don't want to let some book get in my way of my life. What should I do?
As a note, I do not hate religion.

As a fellow atheist I must say attacking heaven is a pretty s*** idea, because there is no heaven.

Also, you said you don't hate religion but you want to destroy what they believe in, and being atheist doesn't mean you are wired to hate a 'God' because hating nothing is stupid.

Also, just try to convert her, tell her what you think, if she wants to stay a Christ-freak, that's aight, just because you two don't believe in the same thing on ONE topic doesn't mean you should stray away from each other.



Also why do you think saying "God's" name in vain upsets Christians? Sure it's one of the Ten Commandments but that didn't stop, say, the Crusaders.



My advice: Stop thinking Christians are super caring about their religion and follow it to the last word, also if you're an atheist, THINK LIKE ONE.

Nonono, you misinterpreted some of what I said. When I referred to attacking Heaven, I was referring to a game I play and I talk about it a lot. I don't want to destroy religion nor do I want to force or convert her.

I actually read a good chunk of the bible. I have to, anyway. I got to a Catholic school.
But that doesn't stop be from openly saying that I'm an atheist in the school, even in theology class.

And the plus to being an atheist is that you don't have to do anything restricting when you'd otherwise have to in your religion.

I don't want to "convert her". I have my own bible and have owned it for years. Religion isn't sensible to me. But I can accept that she's Christian.
