So Luffy, eh?
Well, I actually don't mind so long as he's got a unique and fun moveset, but I'm glad that he's confirmed as the last anime character.
Not that I specifically hate their presence or anything (in fact Ichigo's always been one of my mains) but if characters like Natsu or Kirito pop up all of a sudden I'll shoot myself in the balls.

Anyways, now that characters like Bandana Dee and Luffy are in we know that highly requested characters DO receive treatment. And that makes me a little scared because characters like Shadow and Vegeta might end up the same way.

You have to consider that the amount of popularity that Luffy had was pretty disproportionately large compared to most other characters. We take fan feedback very seriously, but we know where to draw the line as well.

^I know. Like I said, I don't mind Luffy's inclusion (and was more or less expecting it anyway), but thanks for your reassurance nonetheless.
And looks like the majority of the community are pretty happy with his inclusion, so it's all goods from me.

Smash-Con 2016 has been the best in terms of character reveals for Beta. Even though it has been confirmed that the starting roster has been revealed, I still think the Devs are planning a few more characters for Beta. Here is who I think will be revealed and why...

Knuckles - With the 10th Anniversary of Super Smash Flash being next weekend, I wouldn't be surprised if they revealed another character to celebrate SSF1 10 years later and how fitting would it be to reveal a character who everybody has been speculating for a long time in Knuckles.

Lucas - Yesterday we got a cryptic video with Ness and Giygas that was posted during the SSF2 Beta Stream. This has raised a lot of questions as to whether the Devs are lying to us about the starting roster being revealed during the stream. Lucas could possibly be revealed in either a Direct or another Dev Blog or even be an unlockable in Beta. Along with this, we could be getting a new Earthbound stage.

Now I am going to speculate a few potential unlockable characters for Beta...

Diddy Kong - I wouldn't be surprised if Diddy was one of the surprise unlockables in Beta because he is one of the most popular veterans in Smash and he is Donkey Kong's sidekick.

Ice Climbers - The most highly speculated characters before Smash-Con. These guys deserve justice after they were cut from SSB4. If the Devs add these guys, it will makeup for them missing Smash 4.

King Dedede - He was highly speculated all weekend plus he has been highly requested for years. Plus with Bandana Dee getting revealed this weekend, it could be a strong hint that Dedede will join the roster either in Beta or v0.1.0.

Lucario - If we get another Pokemon character with Mewtwo, Lucario would fit that bill because he is a Smash Veteran and is Mewtwo's unofficial rival due to him "taking his spot" in Brawl. Plus it would be awesome to relive another Lucario vs. Mewtwo battle; not to mention he could battle Goku only in SSF2.

Olimar & Pikmin - Another character who has yet to appear in SSF2. Plus, Distant Planet has been a stage since v0.7. However, Olimar could be a hard character to code due to having the Pikmin placed with him.

Snake - Snake was cut from SSB4 along with Ice Climbers & Wolf, the later should have still made the cut. In addition to being speculated often, Shadow Moses Island has been a stage in the game for quite sometime. However, I still speculate him to be an unlockable in the final version of the game.

Luffy?!?!???

I bet Goku2500 must be VERY happy. Now, if we look at that poll, we can notice that Daisy had a massive advantage over the other candidates. So yeah...where is that fighter preview again?

1: The most consistently requested character for more than four years and
2: Luffy actually makes sense in a fighting game environment.


Some unofficial poll he won't shut up about where Daisy got a lot of votes, causing him to go into a frenzied rage of Daisy requests and posting mouse-wheel-breakingly large borderline porn of Daisy all over for a solid week.

He's from GameFaqs, and is apparently known and possibly banned over there for spamming Daisy topics from before it's release to now. s***'s ridiculous, so just stop replying to him.
