Our world is normal.
We interact with others, travel about, and performed deeds, all in normal fashion.

However, there is one other world, another "dimension," to say the least.
In this dimension, there is a war. It's a typical war, nothing new.
However, this dimension is filled with a variety of warriors, many of which might have died in our [correct] dimension, but still live on in the other, for they cannot die.

Due to their peculiar status of everlasting life, this warn as grown immense and has begun to seep over dimensional lines, as the warriors are searching for more and more sites to do battle.

However, they cannot function well in our dimension, and furthermore, battles tend to be hindered.
In order to perform at full capacity, they link their souls with unknowing individuals, therefore becoming a part of them and fully existing in this dimension.
However, the soul link is weak, and the warriors find that if their "partners" die, their existence in our dimension dissipates as they lose their connection with this dimension. Thus, the warriors find that they must protect their soul link at all costs.

Because the warriors themselves are invincible, the battle is not against one another directly, but assault on the soul link via their "partners," in an attempt to dissipate the opposing warrior and in turn become victorious in the battle.
Warriors can only create one soul link every millennium, and are fierce when it comes to their time in our dimension.

Soon, the world will become a battlefield for a war no one understands.

So, what is the major story? Why is the battle occurring? That is a question no one can answer, for no one knows the true reason. Sure, the warriors might give their own reasons for fighting in the first place, but none know why the war is fought. Perhaps it will be revealed later on?

Hieros Warriors
I chose peoples who are either fictional or from so far in the past that what surrounds them is more or less legend and not straight facts. This enables it to be easier for the player to write for that warrior, as there is little fact to dispute their writings.
Only one warrior can create a soul link with a person, there are no doubles.
They also vary in levels of being unique, with Gahiji being dead last in my opinion. (He still has cool weapons, yo!)

Also, balance will probably be the most f*** borked thing in this.


St. George
Legendary Christian knight and martyr who is well known for slaying a dragon to save a princess.
Appearance: knight in full regalia on a white steed. Wields a heavy lance.

Horus
The most significant deity in Egyptian lore, the god of the king, the sky, war, and vengeance (something he brings to battle with much pride). Can become a falcon at will.
Appearance: A man with dark skin and the head of a falcon wearing the crown of unified Egypt. His clothing consists of a white half robe from the waist down. Wields a staff.

Guan Yu
One of the best known Chinese historical figures, Guan Yu was a pivotal member of the Three Kingdoms Era along with Liu Bei and Zhang Fei.
Appearance: Red faced individual with a long beard. Wears body armor with a green robe above. Wields a Guan Dao.

Faust & Mephistopheles
Faust & Mephistopheles are a team per se. Faust is an elderly scholar given youth through a deal with Mephistopheles, who is the devil.
Appearance: I ain't describing both
Faust is on the right, Mephistopheles on the left. Faust wields a dueling blade (similar to which he killed Valentine with), Mephistopheles works in dark magic.

Peir Gerlofs Donia
The legendary strongman himself, Pier Donia was a Frisian freedom fighter who fought back against the Hapsburgs, opposing their rule of Friesland.
Appearance: He is an amazing 7 feet tall and has bright red hair. He wears simple steel armor and a steel helm adorned with red and yellow feathers. Wields a Zweihaender.

The Shadow
The Shadow's origins lie in the tale by Hans Christian Andersen, where it is the shadow of a wealthy man who loses him in a trip to Africa. The shadow later returns and exploits the kind nature of the man, making him his shadow and later having him executed.
Appearance: A dark visage of a man. There are no deciding features on the Shadow's "body," only the cold darkness that makes up his form. Wields dark magic.

Duke Abigor(Eligos)
A demon in the Lesser Key of Solomon. He is the Great Duke of Hell and 60 legions of demons fall under his jurisdiction. He discovers hidden things and knows the future wars, as well as where the soldiers should meet.
Appearance: A wretched being with a large nose and ears pointed upward, his face is unpleasant. He rides a semi-skeletal winged horse (The Steed of Abigor), which itself is a minion of Hell. Wields a lance and a scepter.

Ali Baba
Protagonist in Ali Baba and the Forty Theives, who tricks said 40 thieves, kills them, and takes their treasure.
Appearance: He wears a fu manchu type mustache with a thin goatee. On his head is a white turban and he wears white robes (with some red underneath). Wields a jeweled scimitar with a gold sheath.

Abdul Alhazred
The mad Arab credited with penning the grimoire "Al Azif"
Appearance: Has a full bush beard with a connecting mustache. Wears a striped turban and opulent robes. Wields dark magic via Al Azif.

Summanus
A Great Old One
Appearance: A mouthless humanoid wearing grand clothing. He has tentacles hidden underneath said clothing. Wields his tentacles and dark magic (tentacles can siphon blood from an enemy. The less blood the enemy has, the weaker he gets.)

Renel
An alchemist from the later Renaissance.
Appearance: I am also not describing this (Renel is the younger man)
Wields alchemy
(whoa totally going to be the most overpowered magic in the RP)

Olk
An American native cursed by the gods to be a wandering lycanthrope (werewolf for the idiots) every night for his entire life.
Appearance: He has darker skin, as he is a Native American. He does not wear a shirt (did any natives ever do this anyway?), only a loincloth. In his human form (day) he wields a war spear, in werewolf form (night) he wields no weapons but his claws and teeth.

Gahiji
An Egyptian slave driver.
Appearance: Also does not wear a shirt(!!) and wears a robe similar to Horus. He wields a whip, rocks, and a radically curved sword (in the shape of a crescent).

Stag
[Badass] Wild man in the western coast of America. Wrestled with over 100 bears and won every match. He bench presses boulders, arm wrestles buffalo, tames Stallions just by glancing in their direction, and severs (NOT CUTTING, SEVERING) trees in half with his hands. Not to mention he whips up a mean fruit parfait.
Appearance: Mega built (white) man on the forest. His clothing is made from the pelts of mountain lions. His face is covered with 5 o'clock shadow. Wields a log(!!) and a large axe.
(Probably just about as borked as Faust & Mephistopheles)

So I'm pretty sure you get the basic gist of this.
It's a modern day story, but the warriors move into the dimension and soul link with an individual.
(most likely without them realizing it until the warrior appears near them to protect their link from being broken, after which they'll be thrown around in some crazy duels to the death.)

So your character will be a regular joe, and the warrior works similar to a familiar system, except instead of the warrior being summoned by the person, the warrior used the person as their lifeline and drags them everywhere to ensure they can stay in the dimension to fight.

Remember, they can only soul link every millennium, so they are stubborn when it comes to this, because they NEED to fight.

On certain days she has square shaped glasses if she feels like she doesn't want to wear her contact lenses. She doesn't dress too flashily and usually dresses in colours of autumn though staying away from yellows and bright oranges. She's usually seen in a casual t-shirt with a pocket on the front, jeans and white running shoes.
Personality:Chloe prefers to keep to herself, naturally shy and not used to working with a large amount of people. She was the type of girl that others would want in their group projects because she'd eventually just take everything on herself and complete it with near perfection. She is timid and usually doesn't deal well with confrontation, usually letting others walk all over her. She is however obsessed with mythology of many different origins, she's quick to find a book and sit there for hours sometimes even deep into the night until she finishes it. Her curiosity usually lends her to stay on the internet for hours in her dorm room just researching everything she happens to take an interest in.

Sporting a buzzcut, you could hardly tell his hair was dark, as opposed to his light skin. His face is square and it naturally glared at the world through delinquent-like black eyes. He always wears some sort of extra large t-shirt with a sports-related brand or logo on it somewhere on top of baggy cargo pants of varying shades of brown.
Personality: Loud and blunt. He'd get in to your face just to tell you hello in a louder than normal voice. This is because he plays ice hocky. However, during the summer when there is no ice he prefers reading. Whether it be sports magazines, novels or even encyclopedias, he'll read anything to pass the time during the summer.
Bio: Son of an athlete, he grew up in an environment consisting of sports. His favourite was ice hockey. Finishing highschool with so-so grades, he got an invitation that promised a scholarship to a university as long as he could play on the university's ice hockey team. It was a no-brainer that he'd accept without question and he now lives on campus and has been for a few years. He aims to make it big at the national level.

Usually Sam wears a fairly thin gray hoodie with it's sleeves rolled up and a simple pair of dark blue jeans. He also carries with him a pair of square frame reading glasses which he wears sometimes.
Personality:Sam is very passionate about everything he does, which gives him a smile on his face most of the time. He has very good self control which makes him a very calm person to be around. He tries to get along with most people, although there is an extent on who he can tolerate. When Sam does loose his cool, he doesn't completely freak out but he raises his voice considerably. If it was a person who raised his anger, he usually starts insulting them over violence.
Bio:Growing up, Sam loved music. He started learning guitar at a very young age which sparked his interest in music composition. From there, he decided to learn piano and bass to expand his musical knowledge. He never really had too many struggles growing up. Appearance Standing at the standard 5'8'', his face is drawn out and graciously covered with a shadow of facial hair. his eyes are a dark brown, his expression is often blank, and his countenance reflects a man torn by internal and external conflicts and abuse. Jet black hair streamlines his neck, long but not thick. He wears simple blue jeans, just a tad too tight, to accentuate his body lines. Often he wears white T-shirts due to their plain nature, and his faux suede jacket. Around his neck sits a gold cross suspended by a matching gold chain, a memoir of his homeland.
Personality Ilija is disillusioned with much of life due to varying levels of stress he faced over his life. He comes off with pessimistic attitude and a deep hatred for "the life" which he could not achieve. Thus, he is inconsiderate to most, jostling pedestrians on the street purposefully, sneering at bystanders, and heckling those around him in general. However, he is far from tough, and if confronted, he will usually back away and flee.
Bio Born into a lower middle class family in Zagreb, Ilija never truly knew what prosperity meant. It was a word, but it never applied to him. His childhood was remarkably uninteresting, and he never enjoyed much of the early years. At the age of 9, the Croatian War of Independence began, and his life only grew worse. A good amount of stress and abuse that plague him came from these next five years. A few of his relatives were civilian casualties, and he himself almost fell to the same fate.
After the war, his quality of life increased, but the overarching abuse from the war demolished any possibility of change in the youth. Throughout his teenage years, he drifted in and out of depressive cycles, which were labeled as angst by those around him. Similar to his childhood, nothing remarkable took place.
At age 21, he immigrated to America to find the dream told of in the old country, but his life only grew worse. His apartment was a dump in Harlem, and every job he acquired eventually threw him to the curb due to his pessimism. Disillusioned and believing he was merely street trash, Ilija slowly spiraled into depression once again.
