A throw's usefulness is almost never characterized by it's KO ability.

Really now? Ness' back throw, Mewtwo's up throw, Luigi's back throw, Donkey Kong's back throw?

Forgetting these? these are all noted for their good KO power. There's more than that too.

Yes, really. I'm quite aware that there are throws with knockout capabilities, but it'd be naive to think that any throw that cannot KO is bad.

I meant to rephrase what i said lol but the page wouldnt load. Anyways let me change it to, Marth's throws are crap in terms of knockback, as his throws barely send the opponent anywhere. And yes, having good knockback in a throw is a good thing, as it can be used to put the opponent into a recovery situation, where you can just edgeguard/hog them for an easy KO.

Yes but marth's throws were specifically designed to compliment his tipper, not to give knockback. You have to judge the throws on a character to character basis, not as a whole.

But that forward smash link really only works at low-med damage, after a while the opponent starts getting sent too far to correctly link with it, at that point it stops being as useful. Thats what i dont like about his throws.

Why would you use marth's throws at a high precent? At that point you should be focused on controlling the stage.

But we should move this convo to the other smash bros thread.

I guess, but yeah, we should change the subject lol

I know someone who said he didnt want Pit's moveset to be changed for the next game, would anybody agree to change his moveset, or would you rather it stay the same-ish?

I for one would like to see the weapons he uses in Uprising incorporated into his moveset without changing his overall speed. And i mean using a different weapon for different attacks (or have it be random like Peach's FSmash). I dont think his specials should change though, as that reflects his first game (all but the Angel Ring SSpecial anyway).

I'd rather just change his Final Smash to the Great Sacred Treasure. He has his own playstyle, and though many people, falsely, state that he's broken and cheap, he's fun to play as. We shouldn't change that just so that he's 'more canon'. I wouldn't mind his Uspecial was renamed power of flight and his Nspecial looked more like the arrows of light in Uprising.

The only thing I dislike about Pit is his up special and how awkward it feels to use. He's still one of my favorite characters and I can use it right, but it's like Ice Climbers: I can be good with them, I just don't like using them. I hope it's changed to not feel strange anymore.

There should be like 4-5 3rd party characters.

I agree with you completely. Two of them should be Snake and Sonic. The other two-three should be from completely different franchises. We don't need more Sonic The Hedgehog or Metal Gear Solid characters. (Not that I don't like them, I just think 3rd party franchises should stay with one representitive.) I vote Capcom and Namco Bandai for 3rd parties!

If there's 4-5 I think the most likely list would be
-Snake
-Sonic
-Simon Bellmont
-Mega Man
-Lloyd Irving

They won't have two Konami reps.

I only added Simon on there cause I know that Nintendo has a lot of history with the Castlevania series. I'll admit that he's the least likely person on that list, unless they want to remove an entire series from the next game.
