Young Link is more or less replaced by Toon Link by this point as much as I hate to say it. is this intentionally contradictory? anyways The ballot isn't useless. You're right, it's not a vote. It's a way to give them an idea of what fans want. Let's say that, hypothetically, everyone voted Viridi. They're gonna f***' make Viridi because Viridi will sell. But let's say that about 3/19ths (yes, that specific) of the votes went to Goku, 2/19ths went to Viridi, and the rest are all really assorted votes. Goku and Viridi are the top two. They're still gonna make Viridi before Goku because it's probably a hell of a lot easier to get the rights to Viridi than it is to get the rights to Goku. Yes, these characters are intentionally really out there since they likely wouldn't be chosen in the first place.Sakurai does ultimately make the decision but the ballot will almost definitely influence things. If they didn't listen to the fans, Diddy or Meta Knight wouldn't have been nerfed. This is a lot more of a direct way to reach out to the fans. Of course, some characters won't get any or very few votes on the ballot and they might be added anyways. WFT sure wasn't the most demanded character out there, but damn right she got in. The ballot isn't in control, but it probably has quite a bit of weight to it. K. Rool is one of the few characters with high demand in both the West and East really dude? someone asks if others are having problems, someone else responds that they can connect to the matchmaking server and not the DLC, and ask if they're stupid? you are literally comparing one of Ninty's biggest franchises with a niche JRPG series why should sakurai give in to what his "fans" want?

Damn Kuro.
I voted for Wolf seeing as he deserves, imo, to return as more than certain other veterans. He is the only Star Fox character in Smash, out side of specials, to be the most individualized.
I am going to vote for King K. Rool next because we have not seen him in a long time and I would love to play him in Smash.

Ahaha shut the f*** up Do you have any idea About like Time and money and other resources And how those work There are going to be a fixed number of DLC characters "Waste of a slot" does actually apply If anyone other than Wolf returns as DLC then they are a waste of a slot because we could have had a new character instead "HURR IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT DON'T BUY IT" bro you're not being real right now

the DLC characters take up time, of course. we wait weeks, months for a new character. surprise! it's ivysaur who almost nobody really wanted!

 Why would the smash ballot be useless. If it had no impact on who he would add then why would have Sakurai made in in the first place. You guys make really strange reasoning to think that a character or characters are going to get added into Smash 4. The ballot is what helped get the DLC characters into smash even though they are veterans they are what people have asked for. Duh. _________________

actually the ballot wasn't wasn't used to decide the current DLC characters at all, they said this it ends in October have you considered researching things things before you make yourself look like an idiot

Well if it is not used to decide DLC characters they use it some way to get ideas for what characters to use as DLC content. If it is useless then why would they make it a thing. Is what I am getting at. Yeah ZeRo is pretty freaking awesome that best 3 out of 5 set with Nairo was pretty hype. I am actually going to start watching Nairo more because I am starting to think that I am going to main Zero Suit Samus or as Jtails likes to call her Sexy Suit Samus.  _________________

We havent gotten any DLC characters from the ballot yet. All the DLC characters that have been released so far are not related.
