Well, Villager, SheFit and Mega Man are already on there+newcomers are more hype, so I doubt we'll get 'just' newcomers. That being said, it has been a while since we actually got a newomcer (read: not since the first reveals) so I'm wondering what they have in store for us. I think we may actually get on in December.

Maybe it'll be the most popular requests!
Of course, Megaman and Sonic are in, so maybe Bomberman or Geno or some other wanted character!

You seem to forget on of the most popular requests, as Geno was the first ssbb hack ever too.

I don't really think Geno's that popular anymore. Granted I don't go to a lot of different sites, but still.

I think he's kind of in the same boat with Ridley and Skull Kid in that his supporters can be so annoying that a far more annoying anti-Geno crowd has appeared and often overwhelms the supporters.

Not nearly as bad as Ridley or Skull Kid have it, but still.

Actually I was never in the community to begin with until a few months ago and I never knew that so that's why.

However, I see so few people on here who want Geno so that's why I said only few people want him.

I agree. I love Geno as much as the next guy (no homo)

I think trying to define a character's popularity in this case as a whole is pretty arbitrary, since there are many sections of the internet with varying vocal opinions. That's not even including the people who don't fling their opinion onto posts on forums or around the internet.

You guys seem to forget Sakurai has a habit of including old school characters that almost nobody would really know, despite their background.
I'm speaking of people like G&W, ROB, and to a lesser extent, Pit and Ness.
Admittedly, the history behind the first two are pretty important, but I guarantee not too many people knew who they were on their first look.

Geno sort of fits into that, albeit not as much. The separation with Square does hurt his chances, though.


Virtual Boy for Smash. G&W and ROB were console based, it makes perfect sense. Either that or Hanafuda cards...

Game & Watches were not consoles though.
