A heavily story oriented adventure game set within the Walking Dead universe. The game's story changes depending on the decisions you make.

Anyone played? Episode 4 came out today, with some of the hardest decisions I've had to make in a game. It really builds to what looks like will be an amazing finale in Episode 5.

2 is my favorite. By far the most shocking. 3 dragged on at the end, but it also had the death of my favorite character

The game kind of fools you into thinking your actions make a huge difference when they actually don't.
For example in episode oneYou have a choice to save either Carly or Doug. you might think that it was a huge decision sinceYou get to chose who dies and who doesn't but as soon as episode 3 comes aroundwhoever you save dies regardless of who you chose.
The same thing goes for Pushing Omid, Leaving lily, and choosing omid or kristy when the train is leaving. They all make minor changes to the dialogue, but in the end don't actually do squat.
The only choices that could actually have an effect later on, are the ones that involve clementine's(maybe kenny's) relationship with lee.
Though I will admit that the actual writing is fantastic and definitely worth the asking price, I just don't think that the game should be centered around "player choice." when the story just kind of sweeps you along.

I will admit that I was a little pissed when they pulled that s*** in episode 3. I do think some changes do really change the game though (for instance, saving carley over Doug gives you the option to tell people you're a killer). After finishing episode 4 though, you kinda do get an idea of how your choices affected the group (you have a certain group of people siding with you at the very end depending on who likes you, combinations of crista, omid, Ben, and kenny
As you say though, the game's maim draw isn't choice, its the writing and story. At the end of episode 4 when Clem gets kidnapped and Lee gets bit, I was in total shock. I kinda figured Lee would die eventually, but having him die slowly throughout the remainder of the game is going to be rough, especially when he's going to have to say goodbye to Clem.

One thing I kinda don't like about Kenny is that his entire opinion of you seems to stem from Whether or not you helped him kill Larry in episode 2. No matter how nice I was to him in all the chapters, he still kinda treated me like s*** in episode 4.

I seriously went out of my way to side with him until the Larry part. I take the moral decision and this a****** thinks I'm out to rape his wife.

Man, Ben is a complete a******.

Ep 4: That's why I dropped him.

I could not bring myself to drop him, I need this group as much as it needs me. That's why I showed the bite. That scene was so emotional, by far my favorite episode. It was so well made, and it scared the living jesus out of me at times. Like the stalker, and the moment in the alley when you're trapped and you go for the sewers.

The sound of tough moral decisions appeals to me, so I'll ask in here:

-How do these games actually play?
-How long are the episodes?
-Do they relate to the show much?

- its a point-and-click adventure game. You walk around the area and click to interact with objects, characters, etc. You solve simple puzzles, talk to characters, and so on. The gameplay isn't the most exciting (although it can her intense at times), but the main draw of the game is story, which doesn't disappoint.
- the lengeth of each episode differs slightly with each episode, but generally if you're going through one for your first time each is about 3 hours. If you play one again it usually shaves off an hour because you know the solutions to all the problems.
- they hardly relate to the show at all. They aren't even technically in the same universe, the game is based off of the comic books. You wont see any of Rick Grimes, but you see a few characters from the comics like Glenn, Hershel, and Lilly.

This f*** game... Jesus tapdancing Christ, that ending was so f*** sad. Lee's death was pretty obvious, but the way it was executed was brilliant. This has my GOTY vote for now.
