Maybe. I wonder how it got named that, someone somewhere gave it that name and it stuck I guess. Shine might be better word usage because using that particular word suggests competitive knowledge (like calling any uppercut a shoryuken suggests familiarity with the FGC and/or street fighter) and calling it the reflector suggests low level play that only use it like that. I like shine because its one syllable and a few characters shorter.

I'd be fine with it if the full name of the attack was the "Reflector Shine". Like if, say, it was adopted into Smash 4 as the official name. But since it's just officially "Reflector", I'm just kinda personally bothered by it.

New Mechanics: Is fox still the easiest character to combo?

Well, since Day one it's pretty much been accepted that fast fallers are easiest to combo, for they tend to reoccupy the space of which you can follow up with a grounded or low aerial attack while still in hitstun..

...However, since 0.9b debuted ..Ive had concern for this way of thinking. Is foxes fall speed too fast to traditionally combo? are characters like bomberman,Tails and Goku easier to combo now?

I wouldn't say they'refall speed is too fast. I combo them the same way I always combo.

...just some things I've noticed to make me raise the question:
-he can tech before the hitboxes are released for some attacks at low percents, you also now need to tech chase or jab reset/use a combo intermediate to get a lot of regrabs that would simply chaingrab on characters like bomberman, and he's pretty hard to juggle... Btw my question is if he's still the easiest to combo(besides DK)... not easy to combo

Ima just make a list of fast-fall characters who in my preference are easiest to combo.
1.DK
2.Captain Falcon
3.Goku
4.Ichigo
5.Fox
6.Bomberman
7.Tails

Hope this answers your question.

EDIT: I forgot about Goku lol

the wider the character's hurt animation and the faster they fall, the easier they will be to combo

imo goku is one of the easiest, right up there with DK

Really depends on what character you have at your disposal. As characters like DK have an easier time, while characters like Bomberman don't.

Usmash is faster, but probaby just a tad bit weaker than Melee's but not as weak as Brawl.

Uair is about Brawl strong with the difficulty of Melee of landing both hits.

U-air is slightly weaker than it was in Melee. In Brawl, U-air couldn't KO under 130%, so his U-air in this game is much stronger than that.

Fox is one of my favorite characters to Dash-Dance with. The Dash-Dance itself is great, an he has a lot of options out of it, including Aerials, U-Smash, U-Tilt, Grab, Down-B, and Shield. The last two can follow into any of the former four. He can also Short-Hop away and double-laser.

Not if you have quick reaction time...

It takes skill, speed, and dedication to really understand Fox, he's a real powerhouse once you know how he works.
Luckly I'm a piano player, so I already have quick hands.

So like, how does one play Fox? Despite my name I feel like the worst Fox player in history. :oops: :cry: I shorthop too high with him and idk how to use lasers or shine correctly.

Only use lasers to rack up damage and when you're far away with the opponent on the same floor or level as you (flat maps are better). Don't rely on it too much especially at close range.

Use Shine when you're positive you're going to deflect a projectile, but it takes timing because most of the time I end up being too late or early.
