I know how to beat the brain with a little more ease! just spam Samus' special button(the charge) and with luck and the right timing, you can block mother brain's laser attack! it won't shoot at you at all. at least that's how I beat it. you can also use the special attack to negate the bouncing things(i call them donuts LOL) so they don't hit you!! :"D did this help you??? :""""D

The problem for the Mother Brain event for me was that there wasn't enough telegraphing of the donut projectiles. Sure, the beam is entirely possible to dodge once you get down the (difficult) timing, and its low knockback growth means that missing the timing once isn't the end of a successful run, but the donuts are a different story. At 200%, and a donut spawns such that it'll hit you in 30 frames? Yeah, good luck, since said donut will hit you in the endlag of the charge shot you fired 5 frames after it spawned.

The problem is exacerbated if you attack up close, but I could understand if projectiles being unreactable at point-blank is by design.

If we're allowed to talk about 0.9b events, then Meteo Campaigns was f*cking hell for me. Now I get not really but since my friend tried to make a joke out of it I might as well play along PTSD every time I hear "Landmaster!"

For those of you who don't remember 0.9b, In Meteo Campaigns, had 3 stocks while you had 2, and smash balls were enabled. Sure, you could always go to the lower wings to avoid his final smash, which is obviously landmaster, but that's no fun, plus CPU knew how to exploit wall traps and could Dair and tilt you into the walls down there infinitely, before landing a smash and ending one of your two stocks. Also, the CPU would always reach the smash ball before you, since 1 it was fox and 2 it was a CPU, so trying to answer the problem with "getting the smash ball first" wouldn't always work.

Anyway, Beta's equivalent isn't much better, the opposing fox still has 3 stocks while you (now forced to play ) have 2, but at least the music is better, and there aren't smash balls (yet).

The most annoying one for me was event 44...three level 9 CPUs gang up on you until the acid rain comes, which instantly kills everyone because of dunk

Out of all the 3v1 events, the one I hated the most was Mega Microgames. If you get the avoid minigame at any point, you're screwed.

Necroing is bad because the topic has been said and done, and it's irritating to see an old topic at the front. It's kinda bad for the same reason double posting or putting your mains outside a sig is bad.

As for irritating events, I can't get S ranking on events Rockin' Blues, Bob-omb battlefield, Metal Clash, All Star Beta, or ?????

I just can't see a way to beat Rockin blues in less than 17 seconds.
Bob-omb battlefield is super annoying. To get an S rank, you need to JV that sucker (that means not taking any damage or losing any stocks), but that means avoiding bombs that have massive hitboxes, and also avoiding peach. Plus, has cancerous frame data, which means most of his moves last a really long time, so its hard to shield right before a bomb hits you.
Metal Clash has 3 CPUs on a team and permanent metal all ganging up on you. I can't believe I actually beat it and got an A ranking on it at one point.
All Star Beta requires you to beat all of Beta's newcomers in less than 2 minutes. This involves a lot of memorization and luck, rather than skill.
As for ?????, I really don't know how to beat the 2 master hands in less than 30 seconds.

the only time necroing is bad, and especially on a low traffick forum, is when people ask questions that were already answered in the thread, or argue valid points with invalid points.

Nothing bad to see here. Sometimes people bring up valid s*** to talk about in necros, and then the thread lives on.

The reason people are treating it as it's a bad thing ALL the time because it's the buzzword on this forum
