The arrow flew through the air, as Kevin turned his head to response, the arrow caught him through the eye, dropping him like a rock. Blood began to drip on to the rough ground below, Leon looked at the man who fired at them, he was no one to be toyed with. He was already knocking another arrow, intending to kill.
"That's why!" He yelled at Lex and then grabbed the killed Kevin's body and used him as a meat shield, protecting himself from arrows. "Get to it before he kills you as well."
In a list ditch effort, Nechis went in for a heavy attack on the fiend's neck, exherting what was left in him in an attack, however, there was not much as the nearly missed due to groggyness and injury. However, he widened the wound, a larger target. The creature reacted violently by lashing out with the side of it's neck at Nechis, however, he endured it and stood standing, though out of breath.
Eton was in a fit of rage about what happened to his friend Tania, a kind pegasus knight, now food for a foul creature. "Serene! Give me a hand here!" He yelled as he twirled his dagger in the air and then brought it down hard on the small dragon, right on the neck. Blood spurted out of the neck as he slashed a vein, then a dark orb came flying at the small one, hitting the dragon, it hit it enough to knock it back, causing Eton's dagger to cut a larger artery. Blood spewed out and the dragon let out a roar of pain and fell flat, collapsing on the ground. The other flew towards the other dragon. It hit it in the chest, it bit down hard on Tania's corpse, having begun chewing. Blood dripped from it's mouth, it stared at it's fallen comrade, who lay cold and dead, blood rushing out of the fatal cut. It tilted it's head forward and opened it's mouth as it brought it's head back up and roared loudly, bit's of armor, bone and cloth came out if it's mouth as the intimidating sound came out. It cared not for prey, but for revenge now. As it continued to chewing on the mangled body, it spyed the easiest foe, an unarmed afraid pegasus rider. It thought about the taste, a good enough motive. It swallowed the young girl's remains and then began a mad rush towards Serene.
Julius turned to Jay who had thrown them the tome, in a gesture of kindness. He picked it up, a perplexed look on his face.
"Thank you." Julius said giving a grin and turned to Charisma. "This is more use to you then it is me."

Violet continued to play the music changing from one of fear to another. She plucked each string thoughtfully and began the magic song of morale. She closed her eyes and imagined Barbas, standing alone near his magically created fire. She sang each ancient word loudly, causing it to echo around the forest, making it seem like it was coming from everywhere, the spell was aimed at Barbas, and it magically buffed him, making him stronger than the current state that he was in. She made sure that her hiding place high up in the tree was always concealed, so that her position wasn't revealed.

Lex watched as Kevin was impaled and then used mercilessly as a shield by his partner. He kept behind Leon and started to think as hard as he could. He whispered "Alright, I got it. Try to distract him. Move forward, but mind his shot. I'll take care of him." Lex grabbed a bomb from Leon's things and Kevin's bow. He crawled below the brush and sneaked behind the camp. He pulled out his sword and readied himself as Leon kept the focus of the fire on him. Lex sliced the end off of the fuse to shorten the explosion time and lit it. He tossed the bomb straight into the archer's den.

Barbas smirked, now knowing where and who the song came from. "Maybe she isn't completely useless."
As the man used the body as a shield, Barbas grabbed a different arrow. Now having one of the fire imbued arrows in his hand, he fired at the dead corpse. He intended to burn the body away, as he made a quick head count. One of the men was missing. Now where could he have ran off to? As he thought this, it became clear. "A flank." By now he already had the man at his backside, a bomb heading toward him. Doing just as he did after shooting the armored night, he dove off to another position in an attempt to hide himself. The bomb went passed his head, the fuse was nearly out and Barbas was stuck in a dive. He had to think quick, as he landed near the bomb, it was clear it would blow up any second. Kicking it would take far too long, so he froze it. Stabbing the ground near the bomb with an iced arrow, ice materialized from the ground, and spread to the bomb. The bomb became frozen, as Barbas let out a sigh of relief.
He now knew where the other had gone off to. The bomb had given away his position, and Barbas was ready to kill him as he did with the other. However, he was now too far away to see in the darkness. With just the light coming off what was left of the fire, he would need to be fast and come up with a plan.

The bomb remained frozen for the time being, Leon held kevin's corpse using it, the fire arrow hit the corpse, igniting it ablaze. It wouldn't be long before the body got reduced to ash. Magical fire was worse then a man made one. Leon grabbed the supply bag off of the body, a chance to find a way to stop this madman.
"Damn it!" Leon said. "A bard and fire arrows. He'll kill us both at this rate."

Lex had already moved from his position and was silently strafing along the edge of the camp, just out of site and away from the glow of the fire. The bush he lay under was blocked by the fire's light. Taking advantage of the situation, he grabbed a good enough sized rock and chucked it into the blaze. The force of it knocked a couple pieces of the already weak, burnt wood down and caused a small flare to leap from it. He held Kevin's wooden bow under it as it burst into flames. Lex's eyes opened wide as it spread quickly. He tossed it forward, toward the enemy. Holy,-- an enchanted fire?! He thought as he quietly crept back behind his bush. I should probably flee now... these stronger flames are harder to put out. It could spell disaster...

Leon was desperate now, the body was becoming too hot to handle, cooking away and burning into ash slowly. IT began to reek and smoke. "No, not yet. This is bull s***. Im not going to die yet." He began to think of a plan. Something, anything. He looked around, no Lex. Has he abandoned him. He regretted not killing him when he had the chance. Now having been left to die.

Violet laughed, and picked up the pace of her music, she was beginning her next spell song. She plucked each string lightly and happily as if she was skipping through a field of strawberries and playing her trusty lute. The introduction of the song was finished and the air around the campfire in the distance flowed with magic. Other magic must have been used for she felt that the area was chock full of a magical presence. She sang the song Trick lightly, her voice wove through the forest all weapons she sensed that weren't protected by magic she reduced them to uselessness, making them dull or weak and less effective. She laughed again, the song was weird like that, making her feel overly happy even though she had missed so much sleep.

Barbas nearly laughed as the burning bow was launched at him. A path of light from him to Lex was now set, an opputunity to fire an arrow has been made. Taking the oppurtunity at the man who tried to kill him, he pulled back, listening to the wind and crackling of the flames. He fired an arrow to where the light had first began at. It wasnt 100% accurate, but had a decent chance at hitting Lex's torso. He smirked at the stupidity, it was a dumb move on Lex's end, and could potentially cost him his life.

Lex fell back as the arrow hit him straight in the chest. He landed hard and blinked. "Ow." He pulled the arrow out and crouched back into position. He pulled the recently impaled book from underneath his leather breastplate and shuddered. That would have been bad... it cut through ever so slightly, though... my poor book... he thought as he inched back into the shadows of the night. He hid behind a tree as the fire started to spread even further. Nothing could stop it, now. At least he had succeeded in burning whatever important they had in their encampment. Serves him right for ruining my book...
Suddenly, he noticed the music. It was quick, but enchanting. A bard. Hm... he must be hiding amongst the trees. I haven't noticed any movement at ground level. He decided he didn't have any time to look for the musician. He immediately traipsed away from the site and waited behind a large boulder. "Whew... that was close. Damn archers, always being cheap and quick to judge someone. Attacking without notice! It's like he thought we meant to kill him! Well, we were... but that's beside the point. Evil dog, he'll get what's coming to him... oh wait. Leon!! Gods, I left him behind! I knew I was forgetting something..."

Barbas wasn't completely sure if the arrow had killed the man or not, but he wouldn't have time to check. As the flames grew bigger, he turned his attention to the remaining man. "Let's make this quick, shall we?" He shouted toward the man. Why does everywhere I go get set on fire? He thought about Ice Fang once more. He warned them not to celebrate so soon, they would be open for an attack. They did otherwise, and it cost many people in the village their lives.
"Any last words?" Barbas had asked Leon. "That is, before you die like the other two." Barbas stood there, waiting for a reply with his bow pulled back.

The bard's playing magically dulled Leon's blade. He was pinned, left for dead. The archer spoke up to him. Leon no longer could hold the burning corpse and dropped it.
"Alright. You win." He said alloud to Barbas with the sound of defeat in his voice. "Kill me if you must, a man who has not provoked."
Leon dropped his blade and stood tall and sighed. He hated losing.
"Just....." He let out at a loss for words.

Barbas rolled his eyes at the man as he blinked. "Just what?" He asked back as he thought. "Ah damn it to hell." He turned to the fire, his shirt was still folded, and by now was burned and lost in the fire. Sighing, he shouted out to the girl who had played the music. "You can come out now." He turned back to Leon, strapping his bow to his back. "You can go. Just don't try anything funny, I can kill you with a single arrow." smirking at the man as he pulled out the canteen of water and drank from it, not taking his eyes off of the man for a second.

Rana was breathing heavily. Tiny lights spun around him. The colors crept slowly back into his sights, then vanished, again and again. Time slowed and sped up and Rana lost any ability to tell what was happening. He felt another soul brush against him, but it was bigger than Tania's... It was a dragon. The others had defeated one, he thought, before he faded out. His cloak was practically drenched in his own blood.
Gabriel continued running, even after one of the dragons fell. He nearly dropped his staff several times, but he managed to keep his grip and push onward. I will not be monster food. He repeated over in his head. For a second he thought of Lucifer and wondered where his enigmatic friend had gone off to, but the notion was fleeting.

Violet heard Barabas' shout, and had to forcibly put her hands on the neck of the lute to stop its possessing song. The moon was still up though the night was not chilly, she yawned. She put her lute back into the sling on her back and hung onto the branch that was above her, she breathed in then ran across the limb and quickly jumping to the branch of the next tree, which groaned as she landed on it. "I'm coming" she called out, though she preferred to stay in the trees, she felt safer in their loving branches. She jumped to the next branch it bended sharply and she grasped for the branch above her head and pulled herself up, the leaves shook wildly. She was now above the fire and looking down on them from in the tree, the fire illuminated the area, her eyes shone in the light of the fire. She flipped down to another branch so that she would be able to speak to them without yelling.
She noticed Barbas did not have a shirt, she shook her head sympathetically, the man must have been freezing. "Are you sure we should trust this vagabond" she said nodding her head towards Leon. "He did try to kill you in your sleep. A coward's move for someone who looks so strong. Shame." She smiled down at the man.
