Recently I've been pondering the idea of the creation of some platform on these forums, whether it be a thread or an entire sub forum, where people can engage in debates freely with little moderation interferences in the matters of the debate. Moderators would prevent derailing and if the debate continued on with very little fruitfulness then it would be locked and afterwords key moments of the debate could be shown to all making it an exciting experience for all.

I know there was a forum just like this in the past but very little people engaged in it due to it's exclusivity and how only the mods could make the threads.

I'm looking forward to all of your opinions on this, it could serve to making the forums a lot more lively.

We had an invite only section called "Intelligent Discussion and Debate". It died due to inactivity.

We've had 3 boards for debating in the past and all of them turned to s*** or died
There are some users of MG with either uninformed or SUPER HOT opinions that make the threads a stagnant s*** where nobody learns a thing
