So I recently went through all of Tarantino's movies (with the exception of Death Proof) and I AM IN LOVE.
Discuss your favorites, least favorites, his foot fetish, Hateful Eight???, and whatever other Tarantino related goodness you can think of.
My personal power ranking of his movies...
Kill Bill (vol 1 & 2) > Pulp Fiction > Django Unchained > Reservoir Dogs > Inglorious Basterds > Jackie Brown

also i've only watched the first 3 but it's safe to say your ranking is legit based on how you rated those 3 alone

What the hell? Why is Django Unchained so high on that list?
Also, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure has a scene that mirrors the scene in Pulp Fiction when little Butch gets his father's watch. It's so great.

He's my favorite director. Pulp Fiction is probably my favorite movie ever. He's probably never going to do Kill Bill 3, but I really don't care. 1 and 2 were good but they don't really need a third. Also Django Unchained is my second favorite of his movies don't even s*** on it. Christoph Waltz and Leo DiCap were so good in that it's crazy.

I'm not s*** on it.
I just wouldn't say it's top 3. They're all still great movies.

I used to really like Tarantino, but after 1 semester at a film school I could do with never hearing anyone talk about him again.

I like him most as a writer, his shots are usually a bit off or mundane. Obviously in Kill Bill he turned that around a bit, but it still felt a bit amateur. As a massive film geek I think a little too much of his work comes from homages and references, an upcoming trend in cultural cinema. Don't get me wrong, I think the concepts of them are nice. Dogs coming from the heist film genre where it shows everything not typically shown in crime films. Showing it as much less of a smooth affair and having it be much more raw. That combined with such amazing dialogue makes for a very cool experience, if not a bit over glorified. Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill were my favourite movies in grade 7. Nowadays my Tarantino preference is probably Natural Born Killer. Showcases his strengths as a writer but with (in my opinion) a much more well rounded and experimental director that compliments the script very nicely. I'm not even that much of an Oliver Stone fan, I just think it's the mix of the two. Plus I love art films. Also such ridiculously good set of character performances.
