Why the f*** do you hope for DLC? If you're that desperate to give them more money, why don't you just buy the game twice? Can you not see if the game (which isn't even out yet) has enough content first? Can you think about extra things for the game AFTER it's been released, not before? What the f*** happened to buying something and being happy with what you get instead of constantly asking for more? Dumbass.

only time i'd hope for DLC is when all of something (i.e. characters) is confirmed and it's missing something
or if it's something so huge that it'd push the release date back but that's not very common

Well, let's look at Mario's recent forays into DLC:
- speedrun levels in New Super Mario Bros. 2
- set of levels in New Super Mario Bros. U so large it was literally its own standalone game
Would DLC be annoying for people who don't like the practice? Probably. Would Nintendo see it as an excuse to cut content out of the full game? Absolutely not.
